I REALLY DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THE DEATH PENALTY IS NOT UTILIZED MORE OFTEN. IT'S EASY IF YOU TAKE SOMEONES LIFE BY CHOICE AND NOT SELF DEFENSE, THEN YOU ARE GOING TO LOSE YOUR LIFE IN RETURN. THERE IS NOT A SINGLE REASON THAT THESE 3 ADULT MEN NEEDED TO RESORT TO VIOLENCE AGAINST THIS YOUNG LADY. WHY OH WHY DO WE KEEP THESE CRIMINALS ALIVE?

It does not seem the father took a bold enough stand to protect his daughter. I do not understand that and now they have set up a fund for money in her name. I do not agree with that either.

Why couldn't the parents get involved and keep this guy from hurting their daughter. If it was that obvious that he abused her, then why no get involved. 18 years old or 50 years old....she needed her parents help. As for the 3 guys, they ruined their lives and deserve death.

Assuming all this is true, Death Penalty sounds about right for cold blooded murder. These 3 dont sound like people we would ever want to have a chance back in society. "Some men you just can't reach..."

I should hope 'the death penalty has not been ruled out'!
A long, drawn-out miserable death is what these animals deserve.

My prayers are with all of the family's during this difficult time. I can't imagine what they must be going through. However, I do not believe that four wrongs will make anything right.

I feel so sorry for her and her family members. Why did she too young to die?
All 3 suspects are not right to hurt her.
Please pray to god.

There is absolutely no reason to keep people like this protected in prison. I hope the guards make sure that these monsters get exactly what they deserve.

I hope all three of them get the death penalty, I would love to watch them die. Society would be a lot better without them.

Why bother with the death penalty in Kansas? There are 10 inmates sentenced to death in Kansas since the death penalty was reinstated in 1994, and not a single namte has been executed. The costs to taxpayers for the mandatory appeal in a capital case cost the taxpayers millions and millions of dollars, not to mention the expense of housing all those awaiting execution in administrative segregation. Just put them in prison for the rest of their miserable lives and let them wonder until they die what it would have been like to have a real life instead of being Bubba's butt buddy.

Sad, sad story, and yes, these three lousy bags of feces deserve worse than they gave to this poor girl. What are parents to do? They can't monitor their children 24 hours a day, especially at her age. We used to trust in common civility but obviously these three feces for brains are simply animals.

what they DONT tell you, is that Dustin Hilt has her name tattooed on him as well, i think he should rot in jail so that everytime he looks at that tattoo hes reminded of what he did to her and hopefully gets painful flashbacks and such.

I'm a graduating senior this year and i've known keighley since she came to my school in the sixth grade. She's an amazing person and she will be SERIOUSLY missed. Rest In Paradise girly, we miss you already.. hopefully you're in a better place.

I vote for firing squad right after trial, these guys are not worth the tax dollars used to keep them in jail.
