Oh, let me count the ways. D'Agustino thinks he's fair, but he always favors the man, no matter how ignorant. It's a man's world and he'll uphold it. He knows exactly what I'm talking about. You feel all powerful now, you ignorant misogynist? I really hope you are at the helm when your newspaper folds. I'll love watching that.

When I read the endorsement of Edwards, I thought I was reading The Onion. It's worth checking out. He lists all the ways Edwards sucks, then endorses him. Real responsible!

Running Kersturd's piece before the femal faculty response was a nice touch. You really like men in charge and you have no idea how sexist you really are. Women are good for making your babies and not much else. It shows in your decisions.

Yeah, they are terrible. Typical small town conservative xenophobic hogwash. I stopped subscribing in the 90's when they ran an article about a false rape accusation 3 times in one week. I guess they were making a point. I made one with my wallet.

www.tourchautauqua.com and weather.com tell me all I need to know around here.

I heard they just hire friends and fellow repugs with no care about whether they are educated or not. Sharing the world view is more important than journalism skills.

Does anyone remember when they were printing the color photos of the brides with eyes on their foreheads?? What an embarassement! This day and age, and look what they produce!

What would be nice is if they investigated stories or leads instead of just reporting what is given to them from fire halls, pd's, council meetings etc.

I heard that their subscriptions don't fund them. Some rich Southern family pays for all the brainwashing of the poor rural folk. So much for cancelling subscriptions to end the misinformation.

I likee reading the editorials to mock them. They are soooo badly written. Sophmoric and unimaginitive. Reminds me of what the factory folk discuss when they are drunk. Real deep, man.

I like reading how people think that the paper controls the politics of the region. it's funny to see the residents blame the newspaper for their votes when they all go awry instead of blaming the politicians and lack of follow-through on campaign promises. It's great! Nothing better than a bazillion cases of denial...

Oh, and I almost forgot, how people blame the Observer for the publication of police reports when all they're doing is preventing secret police policies (a la gestapo tactics) when they publish the arrest logs of local residents' "precious snowflakes" ...

Dude, who are you kidding?? All of the folk around here are poor. The only difference is those who are scamming the gov't and those who aren't.

It does suck, period. Look at their regular "columnists". Margaret Valone!!? Please, give me a break. I've never seen any writer use the word "I" as much as she does. Yes Ms. Valone, we get the point, you're wonderful!! And you get to pump your self published book for free, at every opportunity!! Kershnar? A joke, and a big joke, but he takes up space. And what about little Ms. "Woman's Rights", a clear throwback to the 60's, Sarah Schwab? She may be in a race with Ms. Valone for self agrandizement awards. The editor's remarks are high school level, and it may be the most disjointed layout I've ever seen in any newspaper. I wish someone had the money to start a REAL alternative newspaper. And yes, it's true, the observer is owned by some southern conservative, so don't expect any complaints to be responded to in any way, shape or form.

One of my favorite things to do is look through the paper to see how many wire-service stories they print twice in the same paper. This week they printed one story twice RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER. If the editorial staff doesn't even look at the paper, why should we? Newspapers all around the country (even in big cities) are dying as people turn to the web.

I didn't know Dr. Kershnar and Sarah Schwab were Italian. You should write for the Observer...you're obviously stupid enough.

It's sad you rednecks don't know. The advertisements pay everything and anything else is gravy. Every town has a Fredonia just as Forest Gump had a home.

No....you do. You turned this into an ethnic slur, not me. And of course being an ignorant racist, you neglected to comment on Sarah Schwab and just jump onto the Valone issue. And bringing anything ethnic into most conversations immediately begins a downward slide to the subject. You're an idiot.
