sheriff dan bath

It is easy to make comments, express opinions and spread unsubstantiated rumors behind a mask of anonymity. I think dan bath has done more to keep this county on budget than his predecessor,
he is on call 24/7 and he knows how to manage his work force. No, he's not perfect, yet he has been available in many emergencies (on site).
Who cares where he eats? Don't most people eat
three meals a day?
I think Pete Figgins is a decent and upstanding individual and has the qualifications to run for sheriff but lets decide on merit, not rumor.

GOOD ONE...I hear what you are saying...If he is on call 24/7 and the deputies are on call 24/7 does that mean that the undersheriff is on call 24/7? Yes I am sure he is. So when we need to call out B.G. will he be sober or stoned? Will he be the one to help protect us or will he just be in everyones way? Will Dan be in bed asleep or out there with the guys helping or out there with Kirk and Gil...getting in our deputies way? just a few questions to think about. nOT ALL OF THE DEPUTIES GET TO EAT WHILE THEY ARE ON DUTY,because there is not a set time for crime...

What rumors are you talking about? Everything that was sai about him and the undersheriff was true. Ask what ever you wanna know and we will gladly share the truth and not rumors. For instance....Can you explain how a deputy gets in a fight with a guy and has drugs and Para. on him and the sheriff doesn't arrest him because he is friends of the family...Outstanding right?

Billy Bob2, I can relate to what you are saying. But being told something on the internet from an anonymous person who claims he heard something from an unnamed source is the definition of a rumor. I sure wouldn't want to take that to the bank. Cite your source, show me the money. Until you can do that, it is just a rumor.
And you can go around totally agreeing with what, every negative comment? But just because you say it's true, doesn't make it true.

Hey Mike C have you been seeing what goes on in Fredonia? rumors are one thing but look around open your eyes ....I hope that if you ever need a deputy you aren't counting on people like B.G. OR one of his "BUDDIES " TO HELP OUT...hopefully you don't live out in the county...you might have a chance to get help. good luck...

every time there is a storm he isn't out in the county, he is hanging out at the health dept.in the way

Sorry Mike, I know for a fact alot of the things on here are true and I will not reveal my source. So I can get that person in trouble, I don't think so.....Nice try though!!

There we go again. I'm not trying to get people in trouble I'm trying validate the information. If it's true, it's newsworthy. Even a newspaper won't print a story without corroboration. We wouldn't want them to. But, and no disrespect, news from "Billy Bob2" on a public forum isn't exactly reputable.

If you want to make people believe, you need to give us something to grab on to that's more than just "your word." Names, dates, places, suspects involved. Something tangible that can be investigated and confirmed.

Mike has a point. Why should we just assume the worst because we read about it on this forum where anyone can say whatever they want? It could be the truth. But you really must think little of us to think we'll blindly believe every thing you say.

I'm more than just a little offended that you think we wouldn't or shouldn't ask for proof. Are you calling me an idiot for doing the sensible thing?

Amen!! Mike C and D Jacobs are definately on the right track! I certainly would like to see the proof of all the wrong doings of the Sheriff's Office.

So ask the Sheriff why they didn't arrest a guy that fought with a deputy in the county and had marijuana and Para. on himself. Oh, thats right he, the kid was friends of the family of Dan. Sounds like friendship got in the way of doing his job and the right thing??

If it isn't true, the Sheriff will deny it. If it is true, the Sheriff IF HE IS THE WAY YOU SAY, will deny it. So you are telling me to ask the one person whose answer is meaningless.

I bet if I dig real good they have done other illegal stuff. Sooooo if you want to see what kind of skeletons they have in there closets, I will do my best to pull them out. You and I both know you are friends with the sheriff. I still can't figure out what the undersheriff has on the sheriff because any normal sheriff would fire Mr. Green. Its all over town about who they let go, Chris Matlock? Ask the sheriff he knows what he did was wrong. Chris has a big mouth and obviously they didn't think he did. I, for one, am not friends with the sheriff. But I am somebody who is responsible enough to want to see something before I believe. I agree with D Jacobs wholeheartedly and don't think it was too much to ask.

But I have to say you are annoying me a little bit. He wasn't asking who you are and he didn't even ask you for your 'source.' This isn't Watergate and you're not Deep Throat. So could you please not say things like "good try on your part to find out who I am" when nobody asked you.

Sorry, I probably would not know the Wilco Sheriff if I saw him. So you have my motive all wrong. My previous post was pretty clear that what was important to me was finding out the whole story. BB2 & TD, sorry I don't go into town much so I am isolated from a lot of what is said. But that what makes it important for me to get the facts of a matter. Elections are a reflection fo the peoples voices. And I want to put my vote where it is deserved. Sounds like we have a rotten candidate, a bad sheriff, or a total misunderstanding. If everybody knows about it tell me, what cop did Chris Matlock was supposed to attacked, and when did this happen?

Well I heard about this from the other blog that started on April 19 but it was referring to a different issue. I THINK the first mention of it was on May 25 but that forum is so trashed right now you can confirm that for yourself if you want.
