Hey, I am sure u have never hered of Altoona but it is a small town with at the most 200. And don't go off calling small town ppl dumb because if u do ur sinking down to a level that u don't want to go. Anyway I am probibly not as old as most of u so don't say i can't spell, i just wanted to bring up Altoona. If u have heard of Altoona say so plz.

I have heard of it because my parents use to live about 5 miles south in the country.

I have very fond memories of Altoona since my grandparents lived there --and grew up there as well. I'll never forget the fun time we had when Altoona celebrated the Kansas Centennial in the early sixties.

I lived there as a kid and now live in Fredonia.We still have many friends there that will always be close to our hearts.

I was BORN in Altoona, KS. Not many people can claim that distinction. My Dad and Mom taught school there. I lived in Altoona until I was 14 when my Dad was killed in an automobile accident and our family moved to Independence, KS. For several years I traveled all over the US and have lived in some major metro areas. One of the surprises of my life is that I am now back in S.E. Kansas. For the last seven years I have lived in Chanute, KS.

I am orig. from Cherryvale and we played Altoona in Basketball and Baseball. I also had family that coached the Basketball team when Ayres and them played in the early 90's.

Nice town. I used to stop in there for mountain oysters.

We lived in Fredonia and our baby-sitter lived in Altoona. I remember it being so small but nice to drive through.
