Just wanted to open this topic up for discussion...it seems to me that it is important to a lot of our healthcare in our area and I believe it should be talked about.

In a nut shell Anthem has a set and agreed upon contract with Mary Washington Hospital for reimbursment on care given. That contract is up as of Jan.1 for blue cross blue shield and Feb.1 for healthkeepers plus. The group in charge of Mary Washington Hospital has decided it wants more reimbursment. Anthem has declined to accept the new proposed contract proposals so Anthem is pulling out it seems sending thousands in our area to other places. I could go on and on about the details but I am sure people have read those. Will these changes effect you? How? What is your opinion?
