Congratulations Amy on the release of your husband!

If Dr. Savoie destroyed his own beautiful family to be with his mistress, how much easier will it be for him to leave you for his next one?

I am sure every day he wakes up and sees the other man's children he must now raise, he will think of his on beautiful Japanese kids with their dear and faithful mother Noriko.

May your children grow up descent, and realize what terrible harm their mother did to Rebbecca and Isaac, destroying their family, and may they resolve never to follow this hideous home-wrecking example you and Dr. Savoie have shown them.

"He only wants to get home to Tennessee," said his wife, Amy. "He said it maybe three times,'I just need to get home to Tennessee.'"

Are the Japanese police aware he said this? It was reported that they released him because he is not a "flight risk".

Hopefully, he will be indicted and stand trial for his violent crime.

Maybe when he finally does make it "home" to Tennessee, he will be arrested there and stripped of US citizenship. Let's hope so.

"He had the power, he had the power to keep those kids in my life, and he didn't care," Chris Savoie added.

Probably the judge realized it was better for the kids to be out of your life, and was throwing Noriko a lifeline.

After all, the judge only gave you 2 weekends per month to begin with, and even then you were too "busy" to go pick up the kids yourself, sending Amy and her mother. In fact, it was probably Amy with the kids the whole time. But last I heard, Amy had not been given some weekend custody-- you were.

And as for your mental illness called "female hysteria" or "hypochondriasis", which you reported at the business meeting, we wish you the best of luck in finding out the root cause of your disorder.

I do think Amy will be worried if you are not home soon, and yet are released from jail in Japan. Who knows with whom you might be philandering this time? Maybe Amy should fly to Japan right away to be with you, except that she too might be working on her next married man.

You two are destined for a very very interesting divorce and custody battle. I do hope Phil Williams will cover that one as well as he has covered this one!

If you read the facts, Noriko came to the U.S. knowing her husband wanted a divorce. They had been separated for some time. She agreed to come to the U.S. for the divorce and swore to never take the kids away. She lied and she abducted the children after swearing to a judge she wouldn't. They both are at fault, but Christopher would have not done what he did, if Noriko didn't abduct the children. Children have the right to know both parents. They will grow up one day and hate her for what she has done-that is keeping their father away from them. People wisen up-- until Japan stops allowing the kidnapping of children to their country-- stay away.

Children need to know both parents. She abducted the children first after swearing to the judge she wouldn't take them. She was fully aware why she came to the U.S. She is a criminal as well as he was. People need to stay away from the country and people who keep kidnapped children away from their other parent. 2 weekends out of 4 weekends a month is more than japan allows. How awful of system!

It so sad that those children are in the middle of parents' emotions. The children were born in the U.S. are ARE Americans. With the mother's influence, the children would not have lost their "Japanese identity". But the children are U.S. citizens first and foremost. If the mother felt this way, she should have not married an American and had children here in the U.S.

Noriko made a huge mistake agreeing to come to the US if she did it for Chris' sake.
Which it seems she did.
She should have just stayed in Japan and let Chris and Amy move to Japan if he still wanted to be close to the kids.

Isn't it strange that they say she 'abducted' the children when in fact she had full custody?
I guess it comes down to the 'no living in Japan' court order. Weird that they can even do that to you.
You can't say she lied. You don't know that. You can say she broke the law, though. She could have fully intended to stay in the US but had something change her mind.

Sorry, you are grossly mistaken. They family was a family in Japan right up until the divorce. The divorce papers were served pretty much right after the mom got off the plane. They only lived in the US as a broken family.

>"He only wants to get home to Tennessee," said his wife, Amy. "He said it maybe three times,'I just need to get home to Tennessee.'"

He wants to see his convenient lawyer & TV stations to speak to, and publishers to sell more "dramatic" stories from Japan.

I do not think he will get in TN soon, as this case is on hold. Did Chris mention the possibility of "deportation." He may be giving up his Japanese citizenship, or it is going to be "stripped off" as a penalty of his false oath, stating he would give up US citizenship when he was granted with Japanese Citizenship?

Now I wonder what will happen to his marital status in Japan. They never filed a divorce. Still married with Noriko - very confusing.

The only things makes me feel good about this case: Children are away from Japanese media which never released their names. No photos-even Chris' to protect privacy of this Family Matter.

Since she was ordered by a judge not to take the children out of the country but defied that order....it is considered abduction. According to this judge, Noriko was fully aware of the reason she was coming back to the US. Since she was warned in advance of the reasons, she premeditated abducting the children, taking the $800,000 and fleeing back to Japan. As far as Noriko and Chris go.....they are both at fault here and neither have had their children's best interest at heart. I feel very bad for these children.....they don't deserve any of this.
I absolutely "agree" with you!... Both of these parents were out to tick each other off and NOT thinking of the children...

I have to have permission to take my children more than 100 miles away from my ex husband and if I left state with them I would be arrested, and he only gets them every other weekend. So to those who are defending the mother fleeing to Japan....I find this disgusting. While your children are young I feel it is necessary to put YOUR needs and YOUR wants behind you for the sake of the children. What a selfish selfish selfish woman. I hope she gets brought to justice as well.

This is just a sad situation all the way around. Both parents have mad ebig mistakes but it is the children that suffer. They will never know their father. Children need both parents. The trauma they have been put through being kidnapped to Japan and then ahving their father try to do it draggin em back. That is traumatic on a child. I understand he wants them back but maybe he just need to resign and fly there to see them.. Trying to steal them back isn't really a solution. It's confusing and scaring them

Chris Savoie had to establish residency in Tennessee before filing for divorce. Furthermore, the divorce was granted by a court under US jurisdiction, making it a US case. Being in Japan all the time before that doesn't matter now.
Savoie needs to call 877-kid-catcher and hire Zamora and let his mercenary team go in and retrieve the children. Even the US State Department acknowledges that in many cases this tactic is the only way to retrieve children as many countries refuse to recognize our laws or enforce their commitment to the Hague Convention.

Prior to his release, Christopher Savoie made an oath to discuss child custody with Noriko through his agent (under Japan's Law?) Japanese authorities continue to carefully review whether Christopher Savoie merits criminal prosecution.

Perhaps, Christopher Savoie won't be indicted as the State Department's spokeswoman indicated.
That means Japan allows foreigners (including those who possess dual citizenship) like Christopher Savoie and Shannon Higgins to commit a crime in broad daylight in its own country. On the other hand, Noriko is still the wanted criminal in the U.S. and her charge may not be dropped.

It is obvious that, by the U.S. Government, Japan was under pressure to release Christopher Savoie. This guy also won his game politically. No one knows if he breaks his oath once he fly out of Japan.

And, what's next?

Phil Williams needs to expand his coverage of this story and show how marrying foreign nationals leads to this situation as well as showing that this is also a problem for Canadians, Britians, Dutch, French, Germans, Italians, and other nationals whose ex-spouses spirit the children to other nations in violation of custody rulings made by judges in their divorce cases.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Virgo

Someone is being headstrong and wilful, and absolutely determined to do what they want. Mercury is retrograde and it's a Full Moon in Cancer with a lunar eclipse all happening tonight! This could lead to some heated discussions and possibly even rows, as you argue the toss back and forth. It might be best to accept that there's very little possibility of reaching an agreement rather than to get locked in a stubborn battle of wills. Besides, you don't want anything to spoil what promises to be a very enjoyable New Year's Eve. Have fun!
