Check out most towns around us, they only have one ambulance as well. The towns that have two or more are a lot bigger than FP is. Good luck on your move.

Last time I checked we were all on the same team. You all need to change your attitudes cause when a fireman is hurt, it's the medics that take care of him. We all take care of each other, Police/Fire/EMS. If you have a problem with the system then take it up with the community, but you shouldn't be antagonizing each other over who does what cause at the end of the day you're all on the same side.

And now that Barrett is not putting his picture on the front page of the Harold Journal he is putting it on a news letter, Barrett we all know what you look like.
Also he writes about partnerships with the park district, schools, library, churches, but does not tell us what the programs are. Does this man really think we are all unintelligent?
He is so concerned about which way the branches face yet he has had a pile of dirt on his driveway for the last month. Barrett-Barrett only you know what goes through and out the other side of your head.

Back to the original topic, BP & the Trustees have hired an agency to search for a new fire chief. I guess the budget is back in shape if we can afford that.

Personally I think that if they hire someone from the outside, the board is saying that they feel none of the FP firefighters are good enough to head the department. It's a slap in the FFs faces. We had an outsider years ago. Too bad enough aren't around to remember what a mistake that was. Of course, more recently there was police chief wolfe...another outsider mistake.

Sometimes an outsider is good, they do not owe their job to the mayor like our current police chief. Yes, Wolfe was a bad chief but look who brought him in. Pritchett put Randy Petersen in as police chief and that was another mistake. Let them do a search for these important positions and if someone from the inside feels they are qualified let them apply, it is the only way to stop the pay backs for positions that are given to people that are not qualified to be leaders.

Ruhl is a leader and you know it that is why he scares you. Time will tell, if you can read you know the only candidate to address the flooding problems in the village was Ruhl and his team, the other two were to busy throwing dirt at each other. Flooding is a major problem that needed to be addressed from day one, this administration was so interested in finding dirt again on Pritchett that they had no idea what to do or how to address the flooding in Franklin Park.
There is much more to running a village then counting money.
