Yesterday the police had to come out because someone was using a leaf blower. Come on the Police are here to protect us, not for stupid things like a leaf blower, Aren't we paying enough taxes already? Every time the police make a call on something stupid, they could be putting someone else in jeapordy. Now, if this person doesn't have a life, maybe they should find one. Give them something to do, besides calling the Police all the time.

Some of those suckers are loud and disturbing. The impeller is damaged. Those should be throwed to the garbage. Since when do people have the right to make noise that affects the neighborhood? My god the guy is five house away. Can you imagine living next door? I would call the Police also. I pay for the police to do their job. Loud leaf blowers are one. And they should ticket the nuts behind them.

Yes but if it is just a little leaf blower then that is some thing else should everybody call the police when the Landscapers come out in the morning when they do there job.

Your connection between the soldiers and local politics is silly. Franklin Park residents are concerned with noise. We have aircraft jet noise and train horn noise.

Are you aware that many of the leaf blowers have sound levels (db level) that exceed the noise level of a jet flying over?

Get your head screwed on right before you make such a 'profound' statement.

Why does River Grove and Elmwood Park pass laws preventing train horns from sounding during the night and Franklin Park never passed such a law?The laws were passed in2005 and 2006.

No where in the first posting said anything about it being about the noise it was a leaf blower that has to be pluged into an outlet so you can't tell me that anybody would compare to some jet engine.
It is neighbors that do not have anything else better to do then call the Police on some petty thing as that.
And yes I have a Son that is in the Army and is in Iraq right now so I hope to God the next time the police come to my door will not give me real bad news

Thank you for your support to know the police don't come to the door to give you that kind of bad news I just didn't like that other person calling me an ass. Happy Thanksgiving.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Capricorn

Take things slowly and all will be well. However, you must resist a tendency to be perfectionist over things that don't really matter, otherwise you'll never finish the chores. If you're busy with Christmas preparations, you'll have to control a nagging feeling that you've got to compete with the way other people have done things in the past.
