Guess what? There is a town ordinance against open consumption of alcoholic beverages on Main Street and in Town, how are these idiots going to get around that? The ALE Officers have been alerted and they will be on hand to verify no sales or consumption will be allowed in downtown Franklin, have a nice day!

I heard that the tourist board in Franklin gave Phil Drake's Smoky Mountain entertainment center $25,000 to pay for bringing in entertainers at the time of the motorcycle thing. If that is true, it is AMAZING that the taxpayers do not REVOLT.

My husband and I ride. We do not consume alcoholic beverages ever when doing so at any rally or when driving a car for that matter, nor do our friends. Perhaps those calling motorcycle enthusiests "idiots" should do a little research on who the most common riders are these days before lumping a very large popoulation into one moronic statement.

I checked it out and the Franklin TDA board with two Drake employees on it did give him $25,000 for his Smoky Mtn Center to bring in an entertainer for the mototcycyle event.

Cindy, these event promoters are planning for open consumption of alcohol and sexy girl entertainment, all on Main Street Franklin with the Main Street closed for 3-4 days.

Your past experience may be different, but this one is what it is! So have fun!

I say ya'll are a bunch of blind, prejudiced people who believe everything you see on TV and don't know a thing about the majority of bikers. People who support their communities, pay taxes and work hard at their jobs everday. We are not all druggies and drunks and hell raisers. Read up a little before you start bad mouthing people you don't know anything about.

So how did the bike rally turn out? Well attended? Brought in money? Worth the expense to the town? Will there be another one next year?
