I didnt think his speech was that bad, It was actually pretty good for McCain, He's not much of a speaker after all. I think its funny that (Levi), Sarah Palins -daugters Boy Friend was at the convention. Did any one else read all The Crazy stuff he said on his My Space Page? He Said he didnt want kids, and all kinds of other stuff I cant repeat. LOL wish my Girl Friends parents where that understanding. You can go to http://www.hotpres.com and see all kinds of info on Levi., and The Palin Trooper Gate. This was McCains biggest Gamble, that is for sure.

That was a very disturbing speech, he couldn't get it done in the past 26m years.

I do not trust him, his family, or others who have spoken, each have an agenda, why so much done outside the united states? don't we have orphaned, out of work, homeless right here inside the boarders, how about spending some of that 700 billion right here Johnny?

I find it interesting how Republicans sugar coat every thing, tell the Republicans what they want to hear and find it even more interesting that they accept what is said without ever taking the time to check the facts and come to their own conclusions. I am a registered Democrat who votes for the best person. I have voted both Republican and Democrat! I watched both conventions and research about the issues. Before this week I had not decided who I was going to vote for. I watched the entire Republican convention and time and time again I saw how McCain’s POW experience was relied upon to show his character and that it was his character that would ensure a great President. McCain as well as every other soldier who has served our great country should be admired and respected with out a doubt. But character should be defined by the entire person and not just a deed well executed. I heard him say last night how the experience of being a POW changed him and made him realize how selfish he had been. Yet upon his return his selfishness was in full force. Never do we hear about his devoted First wife Carol who had suffered her own crippling tragedy while he was a POW. And through it all she protected him from the news of it so he could concentrate on his own well being. McCain returned home a celebrity to his wife and family. His wife was not the same beautiful women he left. She suffered 23 operations and remained crippled. His answer was not to appreciate her own experience and be grateful to her devotion but instead to seek his celebrity goals with extramarital affairs and parties with his buddies. We heard how meeting Cindy was love at first sight but did we hear that he was still married to Carol when this happened. That he asked for a divorce from Carol and married Cindy immediately after. Yes Cindy was beautiful and had political connections and a new state for him to admire. But what of the family he destroyed. What of Carol and what of his children. His children did not talk to him for years. His wife Carol the wonderful person that she is continues to support him and his goals to this day. But where was his character then. How does this act define him as a human being. Funny the very act of adultery was and continues to be used to erase every good deed and act of President Clinton. Does adultery only affect the abilities of Democratic Presidents and not Republican Candidates? How sad. And why were so many lies told at this convention if what they stand for and believe in is good on its own. Lies were told about Obama’s tax plans, about his lack of crossing party lines, etc. etc. And I for one am sick to death of politics by Slander. Tell me what you stand for perfect or imperfect and run on that. Just like the other candidates, Obama may not have every experience necessary on day one but one thing I have learned is this. He has integrity, intelligence, and commitment. And in truth he has a great tax plan and health plan and his plan does not leave a $5 Trillion Dollar deficit once completed like McCain’s. In closing check the facts and make sure all facts support your beliefs whether a Democrat or Republican. Don’t accept one liners! As Americans we do have a responsibility to Vote and even more we have a responsibility to know who and what we are voting for!

His speech was ok, but short on policy substance. I just can't get past the lies and corruption- he was a member of the Keating Five (and a close personal friend of Charles Keating), he has has numerous smaller finance scandals since, his campaign is staffed almost exclusively with paid lobbyists, and he has the gall to claim to be for energy reform when he skipped ALL 8 votes on the alternative energy bill this year- once while he was actually in his office in the Capitol building! He is against earmarks- against those that he didn't get paid to push through Congress!

Sen. McShame-get over your so called 'service' in a Vietnam prison. You chose 'killing for a living' and got caught-too bad. How many bombs did you drop on peasant villages before you justifiably were shot out of the skies? You apparently did not learn from that illegal war but backed bushie on Iraq. You had the gall to honor a slaughtered corporal during your speech-you sent him there to die! And, you voted against taking care of the returning truly 'broken' and maimed. You are a shame and no credit to this or any other nation.

Bob Bennett, a Democrat lawyer, was an investigator into the Keating Five scandal. He found that McCain did no wrong.
Bennett just came out an said it again a few weeks ago, but the press wasn't interested in telling you that.
McCain was tempted, but he did no wrong.
McCain has said he is ashamed of even getting close to corruption, and it is the main reason he fought his own party and president to push campaign finance reform through.

Criticize the man if you must, but at least get your facts straight.

George Bush and his Republicans has, I feel served only the rich in America. The Democrates and their congress friend, have did little, to do anything but talk. No matter which party wins, we the poor working class that moves this country forward, must do more in the discision making over our future and the future of our children..Both parties are to blame, and so are we! for falling short when it come to being educated and envolved more in our political discisions concerning our lives.

I actually got so bored rehearing about his war experience that I tried to change the channel but there he was again-so I channel surfed desperately but there he was again and again. I thought God Himself was directing me to hear this great man speak. Then I remembered that the Republicans control the media and breathed a sigh of relief, turned off the media blitz and went to bed for a good nights sleep!

Did I miss something? I could have sworn George Bush gave that same speech last year, and isn't the party platform about the same as last year? They are touting change? What a hoax.

If the Republicans are confident in McCain, that is a sad, sad day for Republicans. The man doesn't have a clue what's it is to be middle class and worrying about a job, high prices, or mortgages. While people are worried about losing their homes, old man McCain doesn't even know how many homes he owns.(I guess that's what happens when you have more money than sense.) The man thinks the economy's okay, and today's headlines are the unemployment rate is going up. I guess, like McCain admitted himself, he does know "nothing" about economics.
McCain's bad temper is well known in Washington, DC. His foul language is known as well. So much for being "an officer and a gentleman."
McCain beats his chest about being a POW. Good grief! Is that his only accomplishment? I know good solid men who were POWs and they don't go around talking about it as if that made them better than others or more qualified for a job. Some of the guys I know who were POWs don't like how McCain goes on and on about it. They find it disgusting that he's using it to get votes. I've also know some vets who are very angry about McCain not supporting the improved GiI bill. On behalf of my nephews who are 4th generation military -- thanks for nothing, McCain. You got your education at Annapolis at our expense and then don't want to help the little guy get a leg up in the world.
McCain's choice for VP shows his lack of judgment. If he wanted votes from women, he could have chosen a woman with more experience, and I can name some if McCain can't.
McCain is wrong for America and Palin is a total disaster for America.

We have always Respected and Honored McCain's service to this country. But we know who is spinning the message Schmidt and Rove known as the guys that brought us two George W. Bush terms and now they want to sell us a third Bush term.

McCain called for an end to the“constant partisan rancor”. Yet his campaign ads have attacked American Artists by attempting to brand them as just celebrities. Barack Obama is like Ronald Reagan when it comes to support of the Talented Artists of their time. Obama's message rings of a “Beautiful day coming to America” which is similar to Reagan's "Its morning in america again".

McCain's campaign has gone after the media who are asking the important questions that help keep the voters informed about the contrasts between the Democrat and Republican Parties in the most important election of our times.

After watching this Republican convention the first impression was the Republicans rallied their base by attacking Obama/Biden instead of presenting a clear case for voting for McCain. What about their solutions for the issues voters care about? A missed opportunity for the Republicans. Follow up impression common sense now says that its Obama/Biden who can end the “constant partisan rancor” in Washington DC.

When McCain says the last weeks of this campaign will be hard fought, nothing personally, just the nature of the business we know what McCain, Schmidt and Rove are saying – more negative attacks, more slash and burn tactics. When McCain says “Change is coming,” to Washington DC – The voters look at the Schmidt, Rove and Fox News attacking and we know what is coming – A Pit Bull? Avoid The Pit Bull with Lip Stick when The Pit Bull attacks. Who says we must fight on their turf? Let them come to ours. This race is still Obama/Biden vs McCain/Bush.

Daily Horoscope for December 9

Scorpio

If something is bothering you, it's important that you say so now, loudly and clearly. It's no good bottling things up any longer because that will only lead to resentment and a slow-burning anger. However, it's important that you know when to shut up too, otherwise you might overstate your case or sound so demanding that you turn others against you.
