Mayor Speaks Out About Cherokee Village Police

Ric Morris has always acted according the what the chief told him to do, then the officers would go past him and complain to the chief. The chief would almost always back down. The officers are retaliating against Morris because he expected them to DO THEIR JOB! They want the chief back so they can have things their way! Sergeant Morris did not get support from Goodwin. Morris has been the most respected officer by anyone who knows him!

is the pd looking for officers im a certified officer in arkansas and im looking to transfer to the area

Rick Morris is a joke most respected officer you say you mean biggest laugh of our community more like a barney fife or a rent a cop plz if your gonna get on here tell the truth the whole police dept dispised him as well as the community where are all our good officers the ones that got ran off by morris thats what the community needs well respected officers who do their job!!!!

Sounds to me like you nees to get rid of the mayor too he seems to be in control of everything i thought the police dept was run by the police chief and city council since when do we the people let the mayor be in control of our police dept get rid of the whole bunch and start over you couldnt be any worse off lets start a petition

you people who are talkin about the chief and ric morris have NO idea what went on in that situation! you dont need to be on here talkin about this stuff if u have no idea what happened..and the only reason some of the people in Cherokee Village dont like Ric or Scott is because they did their job when dumb a$$ people act immature and do stupid sh!t. if people wouldnt act ridiculously dumb their would be no problem!!

You need to read up on Municipal Law. The Mayor is in charge of it ALL!

I'm going to tell you people who I think is the most respected officer or should be the most respected officers in sharp county. The Hardy police dept have all good officers, ernie rose does a good job with his town and you don't hear about alot of crap going on right in his city, but officer james hutchinson who we call hutch, is one of the fairest officers I have ever seen. if you do wrong you are going to be punished, he will probably give you the benefit of the doubt once, but don't push him. he was a county deputy at one time before he was a city cop and he did his job well there too. He should come highly recommended. He is the best example for all these young cops they could all take lessons from him...

i so agree. ilive in hardy and the police we have there r very very good people. you they r always willing to help in any pos. way. ernie huch and the rest of you keep up the good work

hardy does some very good officers. i also live in hardy and every time u see the hardy officers out in town if on duty or not they still will say hello and ask how ur doing or if u need help from car trouble to needing directions they r always there to help. good job u guys erine hutch and all others on the force. we r very lucky to have you guys in our town.

Hutch was not fired from county dumb ass I use to work for county and I know he was working for sonny powell then and he wasn't fired by him, he decided to go to city, more pay.

he was in the hospital a few months back and had stents put in his heart so he had to be on leave for a while for that but he has never been fired, just seen him in his hardy cop car fri...
