Just because we aren't all fortunate enough to live close to family doesn't mean we don't have family or that we're homeless or whatever the heck "wellies" are!!! It just so happens that my family will be eating out for Thanksgiving because we are a military family and we live where the Army tells us to, which happens to be quite far from family this year. I'm so proud that my husband puts his life on the line to protect your right to make such shallow comments. Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

I hope that all get to enjoy the day with someone. Even if with a stranger, say hello and gain a new friend. This is a time of thanks and good faith.

God bless you and your family Army Wife. Thank you so much to your husband for his service. People shouldn't be on here if they're going to write such cruel things.

Dennys and Ponderosa will both be open Thanksgiving Day for those who don't want a lot of fancy fuss with reservations and a $28.99 meal or something.

Ponderosa has a Thanksgiving buffet for $9.99 that no doubt will be lame, but expediency is the value here.

However, crowds may be large given depending on which Ponderosa you're talking about so Denny's would be even faster and simpler.

Denny's doesn't have anything special for Thanksgiving but they do have some sort of sliced turkey plate that's standard on the menu.

My family is going out to dinner for Thanksgiving. We are not poor or lonely, we are simply avoiding the two days of cooking and the big mess afterwards. It was my idea since I get stuck with 90% of the work. Don't feel sorry for us, I'm happy with the choice.

And my family will be eating out because my father is elderly and lives in an assisted living facility. He can't travel to our home, so we have to travel there, and he has neither the space nor equipment for us to cook once we are there. Some people eat out *so* that they can be with family.
