Man, 90, injured in crash in Bear Lake Sunday

Marvin Cutler, 90, of Arcadia, was injured Sunday when his minivan left U.S. 31 near Smith Street in Bear Lake and struck a tree, Michigan State Police of the Manistee post reported. via Ludington Daily News

I applaud such an individual for not letting someone telling him he is too old to do what is necessary. Hey Bob, you ever try to get Dial-a-Ride to your house when you feel the urge to get out and feel alive.

The problem with 90-year-olds driving in order to feel "alive" is that inevitably they kill themselves or others. At 90, he has neither the eyesight nor reflexes necessary to safely operate a motor vehicle.

All seniors over age 70 should have to pass both an eye and a road test. They are a danger to the community.
