antioch rescue?

Heard that antioch rescue has gag order on them all and none of them can talk about anything that happens there... also heard that the fire dept is gonna take them over in a few weeks? Oh what ever happened to the druging of a people on rescue

Im sorrt mama, i didnt mean to offen you.... i asked a couple of questions that was it.... i didnt state any facts...but obviously youve heard some thing about this too... if you havent you wouldnt have got so defensive right away... As for my typing, i see no problem with it.

Antioch Rescue has a sexual harrasment lawsuit against them from a current member and a former member. They are also being investigated (rumor has it) by the police department. One of their members is accused of putting drugs in peoples food/drink. One person was fired from his full time job when they decided to make him the fall guy for the lawsuit, when he barley part of it. Yes they have done alot of good in the past, but they have done alot of wrong things. The people of this town need to know what kind of people are protecting us. I think its time we look into this orginization. They dont answer to the Village, or the fire district, so there is no oversight into the activities that go on there. Maybe its time we start..

I've heard the rumors and yes, they have saved people's lives that I care about. However, they have some serious issues going on there and really need someone to oversee what goes on there. Try someone who is not on the Squad to be on the board. And yes I can spell

blah blah blah, rumor, rumor, rumor...if there are lawsuits pending as you say there are then I'm sure the truth will come out. In the meantime, why don't you find someone else to slam.

I'm not sure I would be interested in having you or a member of the Antioch Rescue Squad save my life at this time. How will the truth come out if the people named in the suit are the people running the squad. Hence, the gag order. Maybe you should stop trying to stop the truth from coming out. I have seen these charges on paper and know that there are serious issues in this dept.

Do you seriously feel ok putting your life in the hands of people who look at what they do as a big joke. Do you want an orginization that cuts corners, doesnt do what they are supposed to do, has broken equipment, cant staff their ambulances, has shown up on calls intoxicated? Yes the truth will come out through this lawsuit, and Antioch Rescue wont be around to see then end result. I relaize they've done alot of good in the past, but they have also done alot of bad things too. We as a community need oversight into our public services, at this moment, there is NO OVERSIGHT into this orginization

Sounds like you're just full of it. All rumors as far as I'm concerned. Let me know when they are CONVICTED of a crime, or when they are found liable in any of the lawsuits you seem to know so much about. How interesting.....nice try with the smear campaign but no one is buying it.

Yes, I know that people sue with reckless abandon, hoping to get money...trying to avenge a perceived wrong. Then, they post crap on Topix to try to get the bull on the internet. Please people, if there are lawsuits let the courts decide. If there are criminal charges, we will know the truth soon enough. You won't get the truth here.

So since you apparently know everything, what corners do they cut, exactly what equipment is broke, what ambulances can't they staff, and when have they shown up for calls intoxicated? I'd like to know exactly when. The fire dept feels they are superior over the rescue squad. The rescue squad has been around forever. They have given more to the community than anyone, including the fire dept, and guess what, they gave the fire dept a station way back in the day. Do some good and send a picture of a little girl crying and a house burning in the background to the residents in Antioch to pass your referendum like you did before. And the funny thing is the rescue squad has the same amount of people on shift during the day as the fire dept = 4. At night and on weekends the rescue squad has an excess of over 10 people on, when the fire dept still sadly has 4. They have 3 to 4 ambulances staffed... yes staffed on the nights and weekends. They even have an ambulance staffed at the deep lake road station 24 hours a day, when the fire dept is still behind the game and only has one truck staffed at station 1 sadly again. And you should really consider your thoughts of saying rescue members show up intoxicated on scene. I have been around a long time, and if I don't recall the fire dept responded to Grass Lake Rd & Rt 83 for a car accident and everyone on that fire truck was drunk cause they were having a dept function and decided they would go out. Lake Villa fire had to come help out for that call if I don't recall. And a sexual harassment lawsuit, that happens everywhere unfortunately. If I don't recall the police dept just had one with a female officer. I understand that people are here to speak their opinion, and I would bet that some of the people on here putting the character of the rescue squad are apart of the fire dept. The rescue squad has done good for the community and they still continue too. I support them 100%, and will continue to donate my money to a dept that gives back to the community, not the fire dept that sends ridiculous pictures to peoples houses asking for money when the rescue squad has more people on duty than the fire dept does.

One more thing I forgot to add, check out the fire dept and what crimes their members have done. There are at least 2 members from the fire dept that have domestic violence charges against them, another one has had a battery charge, another one has had some type of robbery charge, and there are a few other ones I could list off too but what's the point? Can't say I have heard of any rescue squad members being arrested, imagine that, and yet the fire dept wants to take over the rescue squad. Just absolutely blows my mind as a tax payer.

God bless the rescue squad when your ass is running out of trouble they are running into it. Good job Squad
