Accident snarls Alpine Avenue traffic

Accidents are always happening there are just South of there. People need to quit using the turn lane to speed past everyone and then rush to get over into the traffic lanes because they are not turning. It is extremely frustrating!!! Think, People, Think!!! Before you kill someone!!!

I agree. But also some people are naive enough to think that they can actually make a left turn onto Alpine during rush hour from a side street where there is no stop light. My bet is that it was someone on the side street by the Carquest shop attempting to turn into the southbound lane on Alpine.

What folks don't think about is that the side street where Carquest is on connects to the side street that Circuit City is on where the is a STOP LIGHT to get you out onto Alpine Ave.

It was amazing the number of "good Samaritan's" that stopped by to help with this accident. All to often people just breeze by without a care, but not in this case. There were at least four "Good Samaritan's" that stopped by and assisted the victims of this crash until emergency services arrived. Thank you.

Its not a turn lane its a 3rd lane granted you can only turn right at 4 mile from that lane. Alot of people turn right onto side streets from that lane including my street. Its 45mph and the dumbass's that let people turn left to get hit at 45mph are as much to blame as the dumbass to turn left in the first place. The holidays are the best for speeding 45 to 55 mph down that lane you can really crush some cars.

People, you're forgetting that they do their best reporting on Alpine between 3 and 4 Mile.

Thank you for saying that KM. I often feel a bit of regret because I don't let people turn in front of me in that stretch but it's for that exact reason. I don't want someone to get hurt.

I mean really, you might not SEE someone in that far right lane when you start to cross the two north bound lanes but when they're going at a high rate of speed you're NOT going to see them until it's too late.
