Parents call for district sensitivity training

This is only racist because they want it to be. I know exactly what picture they are talking about and to be honest it just portrays a southern hick- black people can be hicks too.

There is nothing racist about it, in fact it did bring up a good point is that racism will not die until black people quit thinking that we are out to get them and everything is racially motivated.

Teaching is an admirable job and to be honest it does take someone who is non-biased and color blind to be an effective teacher. The teacher did not see his actions as racially motivated and I believe every word he says.

It seems that the fire starts when blacks need more attention. It is interesting though, have you thought that racism would decrease substantially if you were not so swift to pull that lovely race card on everything.

The teacher just saw humor and not the fact that a black man who looked like a cotton picking slave was there.

Hell, he is probably a great teacher if he is willing to incorporate some sort of humor. He will probably be fired, which will probably be for the better since now he's labeled racist by ungrateful black people. His career is ruined, too bad it doesn't work that way to get blacks off welfare.

Would it have been racist if the teacher was black and the man in the picture was white? NOPE. NOTTA. ZIP. It would have been funny, just like the black man in the picture.

It is plain sickening to know that a TEACHER of all persons are going to lose their job because of some easily offended people. I hope they are happy now.

I prefer argument to progress.Besides people will ALWAYS fight over something.Might as well argue over a topic that i am familiar with.

You are a complete idiot. Text, email, and web surf during class? That is stupid, no body is going to waste their time with a group of defiant and narcissistic children if they did not have any authority over them...playing games and being on the phones is not having authority.

I do not know what type of school system you grew up in, but I am almost certain it was inner city if the children were incapable of understanding subject material and defiant constantly. I can see how a bunch of urban hood rats can suck the the life out of even the most enthused teacher. If you did see a teacher texting, talking on the phone, or on the computer...it is probably because of the children and they are looking for a school that is probably more rural or suburban, where they will be respected and can teach the teachable.

It is a useless cause to try and educate inner city ghetto mongers.

I have been through several "sensitivity training" classes.I remember one mandatory army class.A Black lieutenant had his 2 year old son in the class.He carefully explained that his son was Not a Boy--HE IS A MAN.I looked at him to see if he was serious.Lieutenant was very serious.I died laughing.I told him the standard in the White community was that you at least had to be able to wipe your own ass to be considered a Man.Cost me a stripe.
