150 year sentence is a joke, its unreasonable and assanine..a better sentence would have been one that made him make restution, of sorts, to the people he robbed.

You have hit the nail on the head. Who gives a damn if he is sentenced to a thousand years, the old punk has about ten left. Let's face it, there is an army of guilty people who aided and abetted him in his devilish scheme, including family, associates, and members of the SEC. THEY, are the ones who gobbled up the billions Madoff passed around so they would keep their mouths shut.! This sentence should be the begining of the investigation, not the end.!

I can imagine some of these rich fat cats back in September when the economy started to tank:

"Thanks god I'm rich and I don't have to worry about my job like these **** holes. Thank god my money is safe with Madoff. Its great to be rich and be able to look down on people. Did I mention how much I love my money."

You can bet your last dollar that this investigation is just beginning. Beside his accountant, I expect that we'll soon see trials for his sons, wife, sister and other family members who were feeding at the trough. Then there are the SEC people who routinely scoffed at allegations by Harry Markopolos since 2000 that Madoff's return on investments did not fit in with the investments he claimed to be making.

Just one person's observations.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Gemini

You'll need every ounce of patience today because even the best-laid plans could go up in smoke under the Full Moon lunar eclipse. It seems that certain people are doing their best to throw spanners in the works, and the more annoyed you become the more they'll goad you still further. If there's dissent in the ranks about how to spend New Year's Eve, you may decide to go your own sweet way and prove that you're an individual in your own right. But try not to let any bad feelings mar the celebrations. Have a fantastic night!
