Delicious food - very popular and a good asset to Burlingame.

Leave them be.

Today, I watched as the truck had to move - 500 feet every half-hour according to this article.

How ridiculous.

Why not let this business find a corner of a parking lot, throw money in the exorbitant parking meters, pay a $100 business license and, if the Chamber so requests, the fee to be part of Burlingame's Fresh Market.

As far as impacting other businesses, the merchants who are part of our Farmer's Market impact our home grown businesses too -(1) should we get rid of the Fresh Market coffee truck because it impacts Peets, Starbucks, etc?(2) should we get rid of the Fresh Market bread stands because their sales impact Copenhagan and the Bakery?(3) should we get rid of the Fresh Market jewelry stands because it impacts our local clothing stores?(4) should we get rid of the Fresh Market vegetable stands because it impacts Safeway, etc?

The mantra of our town is that "Burlingame is open for business" so Burlingame figure out a reasonable "fee" for these people to do business, check on the health issues and make it easy for this mobile restaurant to serve the people of Burlingame who will - or will not - spend their dollars at this mobile establishment.

Competition is good plus this is not rocket science.

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Capricorn

You'll have a fabulous time if you're longing to see what's on offer in the sales, especially if you want to buy yourself some new clothes or cosmetics. However, you won't pay much attention to how much you're spending, and may even deliberately avoid thinking about it. Do yourself a favor and don't go overboard if you can't afford it.
