congratulations to the fortville police officer who, on may 3, at about 1:45 a.m. pulled out of the milk barn and rode the tail of people who were driving a jeep. following them to mccordsville, and out of the jurisdiction. is there not a law against doing a u turn on a highway. what a good example for a cop to do this type of adventure on highway 67. oh, he didnt stop the people he was tailing. just messin around on the taxpayers gas and time..maybe gas is like one dollar a gallon up there.......

Do you know where his jurisdiction ends? As far as following someone its called patroling. Police officers have to make u-turns all of the time. As you said it was 1:45 in the morning. I am sure he didn't obstruct traffic. I sure he was doing a routine records check on the license plate and had to get close enough to read the plate. AND WHY ARE YOU COMPLAINING ABOUT NOT GETTING PULLED OVER????

Most police officers run license plates on cars to see if the vehicle is stolen and properly registered. You might want to learn a thing or two before you start typing away. Every police officer in the state of Indiana is trained by the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy to run records check on everybody and everything they encounter IE: Guns, cars, people, anything with a serial number to ensure it does not have warrants, and properly registered. Yet another example of the village people wanting to "slam" the police with out looking in to why they do what they do.

The above statement/idiotic redneck comment, is a perfect example as to why the Fortville police have to work even harder! You should all be praised for risking your lives to keep us safe on the roads and in town. Keep up the good work!

Amen. I've noticed on the Police Roster is Full thread that all of the harassment complaints come down to not wanting to be pulled over after leaving the bars.
Those that obey the laws don't seem to suffer "harassment".

I just really need to know who to talk with about how corrupt the Ingalls police department is. It is ridiculous. These officers need to clean out their own backyards first before they should be allowed to go after anyone.

Dear concerened citizen,

The only thing "corrupt" in Ingalls is YOUR town board. For goodness sake. What more do you people want. There are only 2 full time officers now because you managed to get rid of a third. These guys are busting there tails, working on an extremely LOW budget, yet they are doing all they can. You all better wake up. You may think that Ingalls has a low crime rate, but just wait. Look how close you are to the prison. Keep running out all the officers, and your really going to be in trouble. IF anything DOES ever happen, your screwed. Madison County could care less. Goodluck getting them to your house when someone is holding your family at gunpoint, or someone is trying to break in to your house!

The Ingalls police department wouldnt seem so corrupt if they had some backing from the citizens and there own leaders! These guys are heroes for putting up with all the BS that they have to!!!!!!!!!

Ingalls police dept. has too many volunteers. Basically, young, Police wanna-be's that think they are something. How many times have you seen the Ingalls police with passengers?(Friends for the young, half trained officers to show off in front of.) Fortville was lucky enough to get an ingalls reject on the force! It was fun watching them try to walk thru a field carrying assault rifles and trying not to get mud on their shoes as they took on a Buffalo that got out of its fence.
They are just young, untrained kids that think they have a right to act hard.

Some of the ones who break the most laws are the ones in uniform, living by their own rules. I am a law abiding citizen and think that too many cops do too much wrong and also harass others who do way less than they do, as far as breaking the "law".

I have seen a lot of postings similar to this one on the Police Roster is Full Thread. Lots of comments about how the police are crooked, harass and intimidate people, etc...and I and others have asked for specific examples. The only response to such requests come down to people that feel as though they should be off-limits to the police when leaving a bar intoxicated and getting behind the wheel of a car. The rest of the responses have been fully antagonistic and give no pertinent information whatsoever.
Feel free to enlighten the ignorant masses with specific examples (other than a desire to escape accountability for drunk driving and/or public intoxication).

Maybe you should read my comment,(in response to yours a little closer) I said I am law abiding citizen. I am not one to go out and get my head "busted". IF, I mean IF I drink I might drink two and wait to leave. Also recieved my first speeding ticket from a repeat offender, who had THREE DUIs!!!!!(tell me that isnt CROOKED) And for the record just received third speeding ticket (a few months ago) from a cop who claimed to clock me in a school zone, when in fact, he did not and could not show me my speed on the gun either he "accidently" eraased it. What a surprise!!!!
And how do you fight the cops? If they show up its your word against theirs, YOU LOSE!!!

The Ingalls, Fortville, and McCordsville Police departments bread and butter is writing tickets. If you are not from the area, please stay away. Do not patronize any of the local businesses! If you are a local, do your business out of the area. that is the only way you can show these towns how their Police Dept.'s are having a negative impact on the community. Seeing McCordsville's new strip malls still empty is a sign no one wants to go there. They pay full price for these police officers and equipment. The only way they can justify their existence is to write all the tickets.

I don't know what I wrote that indicated I misunderstood your post. To whom are you referring? Which officer had 3 DWI's? Did you pay a ticket for the school zone incident?

Why would the citizens back up the police when all they do is harrass them? People are afarid to go out their front door because of the police. When you walk down the street at 8:00 in the morning and your being asked if your drunk or getting questioned about your husband. I dont think that they should be awarded in anyway for the harrassment they give.

I see people walking at all hours of the day and night..must not be that afraid. Why are you drunk at 8 in the morning?
