Last Friday night a Lamborghini Gallardo speeding through a rainy Fort Worth, Texas struck a tree and split in half when the driver lost control after hydroplaning across standing water.

If you drive a fast car please know that there are race tracks available in the DFW area where you can drive at high speeds, away from normal drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians who are just trying to get home from work, or to pick up some groceries, or enjoying a nice stroll. I understand the thrill of fast cars, I've had many of them including two very fast modified Porsche Turbos, and I did study high performance driving techniques extensively, but even a very well trained driver is not perfect. And most average drivers are not very well trained, but everyone thinks they are a great driver. Look at these idiots who ride our bumpers like they want to give us a love tap. And if alcohol or drugs were involved then that would be really stupid. Luckily no one outside the 512HP all wheel drive Lambo was hurt, and it is pretty clear that those involved have paid a high price, and I'm not talking about the once beautiful Lamborghini Gallardo.

2 The driver is in a coma and is not expected to live. The passenger, who had no culpability or responsibility, has lost one leg and in jeopardy of losing the other. His mother is sitting beside him 24 hours a day and hearing her young son scream in agony every time they replace bandages. Pray that you never have to face that kind of trauma. Show some respect and simply keep hateful responses to yourself. Be gracious and offer a prayer that the thorns in these lives have a positive impact down the road. |

1 For all of those that can judge so quickly...What if it was your child. Everyone makes bad decisions at times. I hope that his poor mom never gets on these blogs and reads so many heartless comments, and this site is kinder than most. Remember what they say about "glass houses." It was a POOR choice, I guess that all those judging have NEVER done anything they regret, drove tired, talking on cell phone... Everyone has had moments that could have harmed others on the rode. For all those with empathy...Pray for this young mans mother. She will need many prayers... The driver could use prayer, might have been better for him if he had passed away in car...hard life remains for all those envolved, TRUST ME, not in good shape. |

1 You wouldnt approve so easily if they had hit someone you knew or yourself and killed them. I ride a motorcycle and know its dangerous enough on the roads. If the impact was serious enough to split the car in half then they were going close to 100 mph at the least. |

1 I completely agree with this post, weather conditions and speed played a huge part in this collision, but the biggest factor that the bleeding hearts cannot admit to is driver errors. It is by the graces of god that no one else outside their toy didnt get hurt, they knew their dangers and still took a chance with not just their lives, but every other person that was on that road. Very inconsiderate on their part, and no sympathy from me here. Instead of get what they deserve, its more accurately put, serves you right. |

1 You are an idiot for everything you said here, every time i begin to "empathize" for this so called poor man, it leads me nowhere, because the simple truth is I live everyday with every single one of my "poor" decisions, just as every other human out here. It is hard to feel sorry for someone who tried to kill himself and his passenger who i believe it said lost his leg....all because of a "poor" decision. The so called heartless comments are not heartless at all, just calling a duck a duck and a goose a goose and laying the truth out in an upset manor because it could have very well have been them in front of that missile. my heart goes out to the family for this, but not to the driver. |

1 I was simply say pray for the family. Most of the blogers are posting comments like "daddy can I have another one" or "rich jerks shouldn't be allowed to have drivers license." My point is many people are attacking the driver because he was rich. I hate the jelous attacks. The man that caused the wreck will NEVER read these...trust me... His mom and friends might. I am a mom and I feel for her. There are all kids of rumors on the web about it was his girlfriend in the car with him and tons of nonsense. He was not rich...hate that he made a stupid mistake... hate that people do get killed by jerks on the road every day... throwing attacks about how he deserved it because he was rich is rediculous. The wreck happened, no one outside of the car was injured...end of story...The driver has payed a VERY VERY high price. He is still in the hospital and will probably spend the rest of his days in a long term care facility. The passenger has payed a HIGH price too. Poor choices. Very SAD. I feel for their moms. BUT, I'M SORRY THAT MAKES ME AN IDIOT, I AM SYMPATHETIC TO HIS MOTHER THAT MIGHT ACTUALLY READ THESE SOME DAY...I THINK ALL THE PETTY JERKS MAKING POSTS ABOUT HOW HE DESERVES IT BECAUSE HE WAS RICH...THEY ARE THE IDIOT!!! |

1 The driver made a seriously bad choice and his actions will forever change the life of the passanger for the rest of his life. The driver is at fault and no one else. The driver made the wrong choices. To those that think they know. The passanger suffered a traumatic amputation and many procedures of exccrutitation pain over and over. His mother had to endure this time and time again. The passangers mom never left his side 24/7. His brother was also at his side. Traumatic Amputation- ripped off at the scene of the accident. Much differnt than an amputation. More critical than a surgerical amputation. A group of people did not rent this car, no one is rich. Speed kill and carless actions have a ripple effect. Let the authorities straighten this out. The driver will be judged but not by us here on earth. |

So many write and so few know the real truth. The driver was not rich. The passanger was not rich. A group did not rent the car. What is the truth? Everyone passes on information, the truth changes and some just write trash to be a part of this. This is high profile because of the make of the car and nothing more. The driver did make a huge mistake that he will pay for a life time and so will that passanger. The passanger did not use the key. The driver has full responsibility. I hope he owns up to this. The family of the passanger is the one the is really suffering. Does anyone know what a traumatic amputation is? It is nothing like a surigical amputation. It is much more serious. The passanger has more than just a missing lower leg. Show some compansion and pray for him and his family. They did nothing. If we get behind the wheel we need to understand that we alone are responsible for everyone in that car and all in the path.
Let us pray the driver takes responsibility. Pray for all involved. |
