The reason that the WW2 veterans are recieving so much junk mail is that their opinions carry more weight than those of their younger more liberal 60's less understanding generation. The older generation that is of the world war 2 era grew up with better family values and more of a concern for their fellow man than the self gratification generations that came after them. And the people in power know and respect these opinions over their own. If our government would stick to allowing the delivery of the mail without any outside interference from your local governments and state law makers. Our economy would be in less turmoil than it is now. They have made it impossible to trust them and now they are trying to spread this distrust to the communications network of this country under the guise of safety. It cost more money to deliver the mail when you deliberatly set about to confuse the people about their addresses by implementing your own biased demeaning names to the streets that the citizens live upon. And pre-empt their right to freely give their own address by force of law in direct conflict with the freedom of speech act of the US constitution in the name of public safety or under the guise of US policy by public mandate.And in the area that I live this public policy is doing more than disrupting commerce. People are actually dying because of the road naming system here is even confusing to the emergency services personel that it was supposed to be enacted to help. And the mail here is being returned to sender or winding up in the dead letter office because the US post office refuses to deliver to any address other than the ones issued by the 911 authority, and the problem with that is that the 911 authority has more than one address listed for a specific location. And that is why the US census is not being returned by a majority of the households here. This reminds me of a show who's in Charge Here! This was a kids show on television when I was a kid. And I would really like to know who is in charge here. Because when there was a problem in your school there was a place to go to correct any problem you might be having. Now you are told to shut up and do what you are told by your employees, or don't rock the boat. I'm an American and American's have always rocked the boat when they have seen injustice and hopefully we will continue to do so. So! Mr. Potter tell the congress to let you deliver the mail without interference from outside sources. And you will see a difference in your budget deficiet.
