Putting him in jail hurts this state. Putting a good man in jail when murderers get off on probation is injustice. Noone is pointing the fingers at the Arlington Police Department. Who really was the cause of this accident huh?? what really was his blood alcohol level. Before you point your fingers and judge someone, why dont you make sure your hands are clean.

WTF? What is wrong with you "who cares"? I don't care if this drunken fool was a Preacher or a doctor that has saved countless lives. He KILLED somebody! Get that through your ignorant head. the guy that wrote the comment didn't get drunk and kill somebody. this Gracia guy did. Make sure your hands are clean?.....His hands ARE clean....Gracia has a murder on his hands. wonderful Christian men don't get plastered drunk and get behind the wheel. Get your act together dude.

TO both from out of state...it is unfortunate that you don't know all that we might down here. College station seems to know more about the questions many of us have who know this case. There are questions about what really happened here...if there was tampering...if there was an effort by some to pin the blame on him...instead of on another organization(s) that had too much to lose..I am sorry you don't know...we may all have questions for some time...all who watched and wondered...but too many questions would perhaps do more harm than good..

I understand there's quite a bit to question here...after speaking to Phillip whom I trust with MY life, and as a former police officer myself; I would question the length of time taken before a scientific sobriety test (the time taken would eliminate all systemmic alcohol readings)- I would also question not having flares/cones/something set up prior to the police vehicle minimally at 300 feet. Could a man's life have been ruined for our own human need for blame and litigation? And finally, what if Phillip's last name was "Smith"? I think enough harm was done that night! I've seen this man drunk in public several times. His jail sentence is a slap in the face to the family of the man he murdered...

We who do know this man know that your statement is not correct. WE who do know him remember him as a man who we never saw drunk in public. You may be thinking about someone else--which is quite possible. This happens, but remember your false statements and other peoples errors can have... helped ruin a mans life---or part of it.

What ruined this man's life is the fact that he drove drunk, killed a man, and injured two cops. He did it to himself. I don't feel sorry for him a bit.

I feel that he got off extremely light due to the fact that he could have been in jail until his 80's!!

I don't care what you believe. I am not mistaken. Phillip has a small landscaping company in east Fort Worth and frequents the bars in the Stockyards. You are in Denial.

I am sorry, I you do not know what you are talking about. This is not a man who goes around drunk. And he doesn't/didn't frequent bars in the stock yards. You may be the one who is drunk. Or are you the one who is obsessed and jealous of him. There is supposed to be a "loser" type man who is obsessed with him. Is that you?

WTF wrote: <quoted text> What are you thinking? This man killed a good Christian man with 6 kids. Sorry too, but this good christain man with 6 kids was also released...or resigned from his job as a "popular principal" because he was having sordid extramarital affairs along with his job as a principal. Of course, we may not say this makes him deserved of this kind of fate, but I cringe when everyone says he was such a good christain man. He was just a man. He died. He also behaved in unchristain ways during his life...and was without a job because of his actions and was having a difficult time taking care of those 6 kids..and his wife that he as a good christain "loved" so much. Hopefully he asked for forgiveness before he dieds. Hopefully his family is alright now. This may not excuse what happened to him, but please don't call him a good christain...

Wasn't this his second time being arrested for DWI? I believe in was in May of 2001. Obviously he didn't learn his lesson.

Obviously he didn't learn his lesson. this brings up interesting points about our legal and law system.....The police can arrest anyone for anything. Then there is a question of proof and guilt or do arrests mean guilt automatically? Do you assume that every arrest means guilt? What if it were you? Would you want a fair trial...would you want everyone to assume that you were guilty even if you not found guilty...you must not have an idea of our system...is so sad and it makes me feel like we need to look at reforms.....look at what happens in your own city with DNA...even so many people who had been found guilty for those crimes..served time....only to have it proven now though DNA that they are innocent...at least they have that.....and many of these people were just beaten down by the system and saw no way out...so they took their fate....so sad...But I am sure there were many people who never thought about that...those juries perhaps thought like you and said..."well, he was arrested....must be guilty...." perhaps god can hear you one day and give you a taste of your own so that you will feel what it is like...when it happens....don't wonder..just remember... The police can do anything they want, accuse anyone they want, for anything....and then it is that person's problem. remember police (not Metroplex, but it made the news) who arrested a man for DUI? the man insisted on his innocence..the police and DA, who realized the man was going to fight it, finally dropped their case...cause they realized they didn't have anything....But then the man accused dug in to the issue, because even though they tried to drop it,,,,it would still leave doubt, and this was still going to hurt the man because it would always be on his record that he had been arrested....even if not convicted or if he didn't plead. It would always be there... Plus, it still caused him grief.... even though the man was going to try to force the police to bring their case with poor evidence to trial..to show them their own faults--lies perhaps--to have a not guilty verdict and not a "drop"...it was going to cost the man an extreme amount of money and time to do this...but at the time he was angry about it and wanted to make a point.... It is kind of scary for me because I have seen the police pick and choose arrests....not arresting those who they SHOULD ARREST.... and harrassing some that make me wonder what is going on with them...... We just have to be careful about people who don't think...who believe manipulations And what is our justice system for it means nothing when people are not found guilty...or if police's word is taken above all....no room for mistakes.....too much room for thier abuse of power????

I don't know if he is guilty or not guilty. I do know this is is his second time being arrested for the same offense. I also know that he did drink alot. Once he caught the first time he should of been more carefull. That's all I'm saying. You can blame whoever you want the police, our justice system or whoever or whatever. Ultimately Phillip is the one is going to have to come to grips with this situation. I just happen to know Phillip. And despite what has happen to him he still is a good man. Hopefully he can put this all behind him when he gets out and move forward with his life.
