Shouldn't all tribal council members be Native to be on tribal council?, and have proof of their Native Blood Degree?,
Tribal council positions are public office's and a tribal council member is also a public figure.

Our elders, for years have been repeatedly saying we have a non native person on council, but 'he' Will Not "Allow" tribal members to question his blood quantum,
This stops the show of proof of 'Legal blood or No blood', and the question has continued on over the "YEARS".

Shouldn't the people have the right to address Blood degrees of thier tribal council leaders within a Sovereign Treaty Tribe?.

The BIA and our own tribal leaders will not question these actions, but legally - unlegally protects him, for 'years'.

Reservations were given to Native Peoples, sometimes as prison camps, some as Homelands,
it's all that’s left, all that was given to the people after they were striped of their own ways of life.
today, common tribal members really have no rights to question or to answers, within thier own sovereign home lands.

On and Beyond the reservation, to be recognized and to apply for any kind of help, all other tribal members have to show proof of tribal enrollment's which include our blood degrees.

Should tribes have a non native person on council, who in turn 'allows' and; 'dosen't allow' tribal members answers?.

Does a non native person on council effect Native Tribal Sovereignty Rights?.

What will be the effects on the tribe in a long run of having a Non Native person on council?.

When our Elders question something within their own sovereign tribal homeland and are told to 'legally' leave it alone,
by the courts, the BIA and by their own tribal leaders, isn't That disrespecting tribal elders within their own sovereign tribal homelands?.

How is that going to work for us all in a long run?.

Isn't there anyone else concerned about this and it's future effects on the status of the tribe and it's people?.

Or, despite all past tribal activities. is this NonNative the best we have to present?.

No One to wants to look at the Blood Issue of Mr. Duane Big Eagle Sr. on the Crow Creek Tribal Chairman,,, Why?.
.
Mr. D. Big Eagle Sr. is in the forefront of many of the Crow Creek tribal corruptions,,,
I realize it is easier to Ignore the issue than having to deal with it,,,
.
I would think the Future of the Crow Creek Agency would depend on it,,,.
.
For the Children,,,For the people,,, &,,, For the departed Native spirits of our ancestors, past and recent, since Reservation Era.
.
It's time to Get back to the Traditional basics :)
.
don't you think?.

Once, a group of Crow Creek tribal members questioned the Blood Degree of Mr. Duane Big Eagle Sr.

The South Dakota Federal Court ruled at that time,
"To do so, would be Detrimental to Living Relatives".

Traditionally, No One Man, or; Family, was to be more important than that of the tribe as a whole.
.
They also said,,, "The closest Living Entity to the Spirits of our Ancestors are our Full Bloods of today",

Our Tribal 'Leaders' need to protect the traditions and the homelands of our ancestors, protect their burials.
Protect their descendants right here within the boundaries' of the Crow Creek Nation's reservation, reserve.
Protect the People of the Crow Creek Nation....
.
Honor our Ancestors by standing up for the rights and benefits of their descendants,
Honor our Ancestors by standing by the sides of our ancestors descendants,
Honor our Ancestors by looking out for the descendants of our ancestors,, the people,, Right Here on the Crow Creek Reservation / Reserve.

It will save the tribe some money that could be used in helping restore some of the people's electricity, rent, bill's, Children's needs, Elderly needs, Home improvements.... and the best part of this idea is that you can do these things on a daily basic's Right Here on the reservation, Everyday,,,, All Day Long....
.
Honor our Ancestor, Honor yourselves, by Honoring the People,,,, the descendants of our ancestors...
That would be a great Honor, and a great reason to celebrate in song and dance.
Traditional wacipi.
.
Protecting the People ,,, should be one of the most Honorable thing's you can do.
.
Our ''Tribal Leaders'' in the past has brought bad publicity and has given the Crow Creek Nation the "poor peoples" image.
.
False Pride Acts:,,,, "Proud to take Poor Peoples Money",( for their own uses ).
.
On the behalf of our Indigenous Ancestors,,,, Reinstate the Blood Quantum Laws of the Crow Creek Agency,/, Reservation,/, Reserve.
for our reservation's childrens' future preservation.
.
we must not ignore the stunning situation we are in now because of it.
the situation we brought onto ourselves for not preserving our Tribal Blood Quantum Laws.
.
Take a Good Look around,,, Now see where we are.......

Ask Duane and pay for it and he will prove his blood degree that all you gotta do, what you waiting for? Don't you want proof are do you just need something to complain About? I also thing Chief Big EAgle would be ashamed of all yoi who complain, Don't make an effort to do anything to help, and afraid to put your name on letters and articles. And do you even reall know I mean REALLY REALLY knw or have a god good reason why you don't like some one? Do you? I think most people are afraid of advancement and improvement so they complain, talk about and hide their real names, so they do just tht! Us Big Eagles don't and never had as far as I know, we take the good with bad hold our heads up high, walk proud nd lov and cherish oulr family no matter wht happens are human beings try to do to us....we don't cower are live in the past! So say n complain all you want because we are proud of Duane n always will be of his hearty caring compassion and his efforts to really try to help and accomplishements.

And you're not hiding your name now, are you? LOL "WHITE BOY" was no more a chief than my pet coon. He is a CROOK AND A CONVICTED FELON. And you must be the same kind of person if you are "proud" of him. You should be ashamed of him like the rest of us are. "caring compassion" or what. All he cared about was himself and how he could steal our money.
interested

"us big eagles this..." and "we big eagles that..." Sounds like a CULT to me. And what flavor KOOL-AID do you prefer?

Hello All, I am new to the forum. I come in peace :)
I was born and raised in Washington state, a relative of the Big Eagle family. I have only been to South Dakota once, bringing my children there for a short visit. Unfortunatley I have had no real relationship with my BigEagle side of the family (long story and not that I wouldn't want it),I spent many years in the foster care system in Washington State. I completed my B.A degree with a minor in Native American Studies, Currently working (past ten years) as a child welfare worker the past ten years, and currently in the process of applying for the Masters in Public Administration (tribal focus). Although not raised on the reservation and limited exposure to Native ways, I have carried this name my entire life and feel that I represented all native peoples because not a day goes by that I am not asked a question about Native Americans. I have read that all the reservations in South Dakota need people to come and teach etc and bring their professional experience to help benefit the tribe. It seems fitting that I would love to come and bring my experience to the reservation to work WITH the tribe for whatever their needs may be. After reading some of this I feel that I would not be invited, because of my last name and because I am not a full blood.
1. I am not enrolled and don't care to be.
2. I don't have any selfish motives to come and help, I care about the rights of indigenous world wide, but have a connection with Crow Creek.

Would love any feedback.

Daily Horoscope for June 3

Gemini

Do a little lateral thinking today and it will work wonders. Don't feel hidebound because you're supposed to do things in a certain way, because this is a great opportunity to try a different approach for a change. Even so, you may have to play down your unorthodox technique when talking to anyone who sticks rigidly to convention.
