Well, this is a good place to plug my friends at Del Ranch, in Smith's Station Alabama, Bill, although I know that's too far for you to make the trip to on such short notice, maybe someone else in the area reading this might be interested.

They're having what they bill as a "Valentine Dance party", featuring my friends and collaborators singer Sandy Madaris backed by the music of the Conley Brothers, I'll very likely join Ms. Madaris for a couple of our duets at some point in the night, as well.

Janice Minet has a great voice but I don't think she's around much these days. She could have been great. Shut your eyes and you'd swear you were listening to Janice Joplin. Ken Soltys from Hayesville appears to have moved on to bigger and better things too. He was like Kenny G only with a horn. Session musicians? Forget it! There are some great musicians around but few, if any, read music.
