It is 10:08 p.m. Friday night. Are the lights back on in Capitan?

We were in Capitan and left at 6 p.m. and the whole town was without electricity.

All restaurants and businesses were closed. The Capitan cops were in a tizzy, going back and forth and here and there, doing not much of anything.

Maybe they were investigating the recent burglaries of a restaurant and Dr's office along with several residences. I crack myself up. At least the thief's had the good sense to quit stealing until after their guy was re-elected. Maybe the Ruidoso police can solve these burglaries like they did the others for us.

Smokey Bear cafe stayed open. The food there was cold, but we didn't complain to much. We had to go to the restroom. All the other cafes were closed. Hope everyone is okay.

Just watch where the burn was on the East side. In a few weeks it will be beautifully green in the burn pattern.

Was talking to the cuz yesterday and she informed us of the two break-ins last Sunday.

Syringes were taken from the doc's officer, so we know what that means. Scary if horse is being injected in Capito.

As for the other break-in, maybe the culprits were looking for munchies?

If the electricity was off last night, that would have given the rats more opportunities for robberies, since the cops would have gone home.

A New Mexico Health Department official was in Capitan when the fire broke out and the power went off to the entire town.

All restaurants were ordered to shut down because of the health hazard (frozen food coming unfrozen, food not cooked completely in not-working microwaves, and, as you say, cold food, etc.).

So Smokey Bear cafe violated the law yesterday. Owners should be fined.
