There is no reason for his actions. He needs to spend the rest of his life in prison.

I have a feeling that once he is back in custody here he will trip going down some stairs several times.

I personally know Tristan, and know that he is not the type of person who would do this without provocation. What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty. Read his statement... "I think I shot a cop" doesn't mean he did it....

Are you serious? He was pulled over by the cop, got out of his vehicle and started shooting! Of course he did it. Then, he ran off to Mexico. All I've heard on these topic sites regarding this incident is that "he isn't the type of person to have done this".

Bull. He is and he did.

Do you really think that... what about the other people in the vehicle. Do you think that they were either involved and won't own up to it, or maybe even the major influence and would not own up to that either. Believe me when I say, I am not saying that he is 100% innocent, I said that he wouldn't do this with out being provoked, he is one of the nicest, most respectful, most responsible people I know. And, his quote was "I THINK I shot a cop"... What about the cops putting out an APB, I am sure the camera got the plate #, they could have had him stopped anywhere in the US with the info from that. He was able to get to NM before he turned himself in... Get that? He had mind enough to turn himself in when he realized what had probably happened. So to everyone's opinions... I really don't care what other people have to say, I will stand up for Tristan and support him even if he is guilty, because I know the type of person he is. Even if he is guilty, I would expect punishment, or even time served but that doesn't mean he is an evil person, he is not a serial killer, or a child molester, he is someone who may have made a mistake. So....

Well I do not believe he was prevoked! He knew what he was doing when he got out of the car before the cop got out of his and starting shooting! And for the recorder Fort Smith PD does not have dash cames in their cars. Regardless to if it was a cop or someone else he shot them with the intent to kill!!!

Ok, so you were in the vehicle with him and know that no one PROVOKED him, right? So you were with him the whole night and know that he hadn't been being prodded or antagonized in any way... Or are you saying you are a Fort Smith cop? because I am from FSM and I do know that they do have dash CAMS (would be the correct spelling) they might not have them in every vehicle, but they do have them... and because you are a mind reader, you know for a fact that he intended to kill the cop or whoever else it might have been.

AND, if you had actually read everything that I had posted, you would see that I am not saying he is innocent... I am saying that this is not in his character to do something like this. It takes a lot for Tristan to even get angry, let alone lose his head... but when he is provoked... So, if you weren't in the vehicle and don't know Tristan, you don't know what prompted this. You only know what the media is telling you, and you can't even go by that, they can't even pronounce the name of the town where he turned himself in at.

I guess, what I am saying is to look at it from all sides. Don't just jump to conclusions about what you see or read. Imagine the nicest person you know doing this and then think about how you would react or even respond to what people say. I will still continue to support Tristan, innocent or guilty. I expect him to serve whatever is given to him if he is guilty as I would any person who is in the same situation.

So far, you're the only one that keeps on mentioning him being "provoked". Is this because you have facts, or just speculation? It doesn't take a mind reader to know he wanted to kill that police officer. I believe the bullet to his chest that was blocked by his kevlar vest was the only thing that saved him from death. Also, it's not like the kid only shot once. That police officer was shot 4 times!! Were you with him all night that night? Were you in the vehicle? It really sounds like you are defending him. But, everyone has a right to their own opinion.

For one no i'm not a cop.. and I do know for a fact that the police cars in FSM do not have dash CAMS.. It so happens that the cop that was shot is my Sister-in-laws father! So I think I know a little more than you do. I don't give a damn who Tristian was or is! He shot a person and yes a shot in the chest does mean he intented to kill him. You don't shot someone 4 times without intenting to kill them now do you! Not only that he shot more than 4 times because the car was full of bullet holes! I don't have to listen to the media I get all my info first hand. I you aren't a criminal or running from the law for some reason most people pull over when a cop car with flashing blue lights are behind them and stay in their cars/trucks. They don't get out shooting.

Ive met Tristan a few times as well. Granted, I dont know him as well as some people that have posted might, but I did indeed gather that he was a polite, easy going individual.
However...that does NOT excuse his actions. Im quite sure that his closest friends are indeed in shock, as I would be if one of my friends or family did something like this. But one cannot get out of a car after being pulled over, take out a gun, and shoot it not once but FOUR times without "meaning to." He definitely intended on shooting this officer, otherwise why take out the gun in the first place?
I hope that the family and friends of BOTH parties involved (Tristan's and Officer Parson's) can begin to heal soon. My thoughts are with them.

Oh, that's nice! What a humanitarian you are! The truth will come out, eventually, Tristan will be punished....period. This is definately out of character for him, absolutely not who he is, etc. He has much support from this community and will all day, everyday...even in prison! We are all glad the officer wasn't killed and pray for him and his family, but at the same time, we are praying for Tristan and his family....is that ok?
