Well if the city would install video recorders in the cars we would have the lpn information and that would lead us right to the mans house or someones house that knows him. I think is important that these devices be installed ASAP.

I think it takes a very disturbed person to shoot at an officer who dedicates his life to serving and keeping the community safe. I totally agree with sergeant Risley this guy has no concern for his own life as well as others and he will stop at nothing to escape capture and he needs behind bars before someone gets seriously hurt! to officer parsons and family your in our thoughts and prayers, get well soon! and thank you for your service!

I am glad that Cpl. Parsons is recovering. Thoughts and Prayers are with him, his family, co-workers and the law enforcement community. Officers place their life on the line every day. Let us remember that they are here to help us live our lives as safely as possible and they deserve our respect and support.

I hate this happened. Tristian is a good kid and this blew my mind seeing this on TV. It is a complete 180 degree turn from the kid I grew up around!! Camera's won't do as much as dirty cops letting crack dealers and meth dealers go to catch the quote un-quote big fish. If this was drug related..it's time to clean the D@!N streets and take a zero tollerance movement!

Our prayers and best wishes for Officer Parsons and his family. I am a dispatcher for Police and could not imagine any officer or the police department family going through this. I am just glad to hear that the person that did this is behind bars.

This guy shot a police officer with intent to kill him. He should be put behind bars for life with out parole at all. I went to high school with him and a blew my mind to watch on the news. He was a good kid but went down the wrong road of drugs and crime. Now he will not see the lite of day again. My prayers are with Cpl. Parsons.

First off, for those who posted your thoughts and prayers to Cpl Parsons and his family THANK YOU!! Cpl Parsons daughter is my Sister-in-Law. So I will make sure the family knows they have support and prayers.
For those who make stupid comments, get a life!
As for Tristian I hope that SOB rots his miserable life away in prison! A good kid? I don't see good kids going out and shooting someone just because they can! A good person would have stayed in their car and let the officer do his business. If he got caught with drugs he would only be in jail for a few months.. Now he's facing life which I hope he gets!!! Personally I think they should hang him on the town square and let the public take shots at hime without a bullet proof vest!!

this is a reality check of the dangers that these men and women face daily on our behalf... Remember this the next time an officer stops you.. He/She doesn't know you, or what your intentions are..

Most of the people have no idea what our police officers face every night of the week. An incident like this can happen, without warning, at any moment. Those who wish to critize should walk a mile in an officers shoes before making any comment. Next time you see a Fort Smith police officer thank him for his/her service. They are the only thing standing between you and people like this. Godspeed Cpl. Parsons, get well soon.

And people get upset when they get pulled over and the officer walks up to the car with his hand on his gun? Now maybe some will realize this men and women only want to go home to their families at the end of the shift. Thank God that he was wearing his vest that night. And as far as the little SOB I hope he spends the rest of his life is behind bars, well lots of people probably feel the same. Life is about making choices he made his choice to go down the wrong road. He will get what he deserves. Love and Prayers go out to the family and friends of Officer Parsons.

He deserves a life in prison, and I believe you deserve to be checked into a looney bin based on your comments... People like you need stopped to with that mind set.

There is nothing wrong with my mind! I'm sure you would feel the same if it would have been someone in family and people leave rude comments. Even the bible says and eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. This guy is the one who will have to live with his guilt of knowing he almost killed someone.

I understand that people are upset and hurt about what Tristan did but I am a friend of his and this was completely out of character for him. On any other day he is a fun loving compationate person with a good heart and this is just insane that this happened. Something caused him to have this action and I just hope before everyone hangs him out to dry they will take the time to figure out what it was. When your posting such horrible things about him just remember that he too has people who love him and we are all hurt by this. My heart goes out for everyone this has affected. Just think before you make such crude remarks. Tristan those who love you will still be here for you when this is all over.

I understand that you would be very upset and angry about this...the Bible says alot of things and not all of them are about revenge. Some of them are about forgivness. Think about this for a second - that guy had family too...and I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that they are very upset, horrified, angry, embarrassed, etc. about what has happened. But I guess their feelings aren't important at all. They should have seen it coming, right? They should just be able to read comments like yours and take it all in stride, shouldn't they? I went to school with this guy too. I don't remember him at all and have no idea what he was like then or is like now but it didn't take long to understand that many of the people leaving the comments about him being a good kid, also said that they "knew" him or "grew up with him." As a matter of fact, one even said that it was horrible that he ended up mixed up in a life of drugs and crime. He obviously knows he did something wrong or he would have just walked away from his truck instead of turning himself in. At least he admitted it and is taking the punishment that is coming to him. Thank God that he had the strength (yes, STRENGTH) it took to turn himself in so that this officer and his family are able to have closure.
And for that matter, I do happen to be a family member of someone who has been the subject of an article on here and many people left comments about wishing he had been shot or that he spent his life rotting in prison based solely on the half page article written by a member of the news team. My family member did something wrong but he had situations in his life that led up to those actions. He was not clinically sane at the time. Although this does not excuse him from his bad decisions, it still hurt his family to see the comments of those who wished him death and pain.
So - to the family of the officer and the officer himself: Thank you for risking your life to protect us. My deepest condolences and sincere prayers for your recovery. May God be with you all.
To the family and friends of this young man: May God also be with you in this hard time you now face. I pray for understanding and healing for you all.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Taurus

It's important that you leave yourself plenty of room to manouvres during the weeks ahead, as Mercury turns retro today, especially when it comes to making decisions and airing your opinions to the world. You need to be as flexible as possible right now, otherwise you could find that you've boxed yourself into a corner and have to do some serious back-tracking. You need to consider all points of view and not just your own.
