Attempted to visit the subway on Sunday with an order for 13 subs around noon. After standing in line for 15 minutes and got to the counter, told the older lady how many I needed, her response was "What" with an attitude like how dare I, and she proceeded to lean past me and ask the next customer for her order. So I left and went to Pizza Hut since they wanted more business as they didn't have an issue making 8 pizzas. So evidently this business in Fort Scott don't care about what type of experience they give people who aren't normally in town.

It's ludicrous to not call ahead for a large order during the busiest time of the day.

I know when I go in with my order for 4 people it seems like it throws them off. Altho, I think they are used to me now. Will throw them off when I only order 1 or 2 sandwiches. To the person who commented above about calling in the order, it seems that the person who started the thread was from out of town. It would be hard for them to call in ahead of time. I do not agree with the sales lady ignoring them. She should have taken the order, but explained that it would take time. She could have also said, next time it might be easier if you call this order in ahead of time, and given out the number. I agree that with large orders it is better to call them in, but I have also seen people come in during a lunch break and order something like 10 different sandwiches (orders from others at work). We can't afford to be rude to our customers.

Right. Since so few people have cell phones it would have been near impossible to call. Story us bogus. I hate topix, but I'm getting tired of people bashing businesses on it.

Not everyone has access to a menu ahead of time. It is a courtesy to call ahead but it is flat out rude to refuse service, which is exactly what the worker did by ignoring the customer. I would check on complaint options whether it be a toll free # or website. It may or may not improve anything but it will only take as much time as typing out a message on here. To anyone who rubs food on their body parts to screw over a customer- that is just beyond gross. Would you want crotch food served to you?

to make an average sandwich at subway is about 2 min so any??? to fill your order with one person worjking would of took about 30 to make and wrap all sandwiches so maybe all people behind you at the busiest time of the day were regulars and you out of town I would of skipped you as well think next time

I think it's sad as well that people bash business on here. I wonder if this person works in food service and has ever asked a customer "what" before??? Probably. Ever thought it was a what with a question mark instead of an exclamation point. Hmmmm I doubt it.

with it being the busiest time of day the 'what?' was probably one of surprise and not a rude one. pizza hut not having a problem with making 8 pizzas is because they are used to large orders( familys and such) subway however isnt quite suited for thirteen subs during rush hour for one order, so her skipping u to get the other custmers behind u ,to me, makes sence. lose one customer verses the multiple customers behind u.now most ppl wud be understanding enough in it being RUSH HOUR. and often during rush hour it ends up just being one person to make the sandwhiches while others are doing other things that need to be done, so they can stay caught up with the flow of ppl coming and going. yes calling ahead wuould have helped, but is not easily done by someone from out of town. but for future refrence, at least try to call ahead when u have such a large order. during rush hour. now i live out of fort scoot, but i often go to fort scott, and i often visit subway, so i kno the ppl who work there relativly well, and i also kno that anyof them wud have done the sam thing. as would anyone else in any other store would have.

This post is rediculous and very unprofesional! Most people probably know who this is and regardless of whether they were rude or not. It is very wrong of you to be bashing another business on a website like this. You should know the appropriate thing to do would be to goto the manager. Just goes to show what kind of business you have. Forget the order. What you did on here is much more rude and very immature.

Whatever wrote: It's ludicrous to not call ahead for a large order during the busiest time of the day. I have seen a dozen people in line before. What difference is there if one person orders a dozen sandwiches, or a dozen people order one each? I would have taken my business somewhere else too, and contacted their home office.
