So, I'm wondering who you support for sheriff in the up coming election and why or why not? Should we stick with Grey or try Bob Jackson?

Wow. Can you actually give any specifics about why the one is better than the other? I'm not that familiar with either. The above comments just sound like some people Jackson may have offended. I am hoping for some facts about who should get the vote.

To sum it up for you. They are both the perfect example of the good old boy system. They are lazy and unmotivated. More worried about shootn the breez and their coffee than anything else. Time for change. Need fresh ideas and new faces.

Still no real facts about who whould be a better choice. Are you saying that Jackson is very layed back and easy going? Wouldn't that be a good thing? I wouldn't want a hot head with a gun coming at me in a tense situation. Is being a good ol boy the same as saying that they are both very community minded and involved? The fact that nobody is really able to throw out any specifics says that either they are evenly matched and the choice doesn't matter or the people just don't care. Have either of these guys ever left a real impression on you in a particular situation? Who will be getting your vote?

Ron Gray has done a great job and will continue to do so. My vote is for Ron..

Ron is a great fellow who is very slow of witt and physical ability. He works hard not to offend any potential voters. In a real situation that required a law enforcement officer, you would be better off to hide in the closet. Make room for Ron and Bob Jackson. They will be needing some hiding space in the closet with you. Barney Fife does not deserve to be compared to Bob Jackson. Barney had some evidence of a backbone.

I know both & think they're good people but Ron is probably my choice, as far as a law enforcement officer. However, I won't be disappointed with either and will support whoever wins.

I'm really getting the sense that both are good guys and maybe evenly matched. Even with the negative comments that you always find on Topix, nothing specific has really been said to point out why I should think otherwise. Sounds like both have a pretty even temperment which is what you want in a law enforcement officer and especially in a boss. So, may the guy who gets the most votes win.
