Phelps to picket Bramlage funeral?

Someone told me that WBC was going to picket the Bramlage funeral.Has anyone else heard this? I certainly hope not,they were good people and deserve better.

Their website lists their picket schedule, and the funeral is on the schedule. They claim acceptance of homosexuality angers God and he uses fiery plane crashes for punishment. Sadly, there are homophobes on Topix who nearly as fanatical. The Patriot Guard and other groups are planning to show. You should rally your biker buddies, take the day off, and help them out.

Who gives a care about WBC. Ignore the bastards. The funerals going to be in the middle school auditorium which holds 200. To get into the auditorium you have to be family or close friend you can only get in by invitation. Everyone else will have to watch by video feed in the lunchroom or gym. Why fight the crowd to sit in a lunchroom and watch tv? Shouldve had it at the highschool field.

The Patriot Guard is NOT going to be at the funeral. Verify the facts before you make such claims.

Should of held it at Arrowhead Stadium.

They have seating set up for 3,000. How fitting that Bramlages want our city to benefit from all the visitors, even at the end. Visitors will see a gorgeous school that is as great as any Blue Valley building. A celebration of a great family and their contributions to the school district in many, many ways.

The Phelps Cult has every right to picket any funeral that they see fit.

We are bringing several cases of rotten eggs for these idiots, it should be riot. I really think they are stepping in it big time by coming to jc for a event like this they are obviously nuts and hope they get thier asses handed to them by many.

If Phelps and his crew decide to picket the Bramlage services, they are legal. I know
this sucks and I for sure don't agree with it.
Until our local legislation imposes more stringent
rules of engagement on funerals, this will continue.I would recommend to refrain from the egg tossing bit for this plays right into what they want and that is publicity.
As far as the Patriot Guard they are for Patriots such as our former and current service members, firefighters and police officers. Though the Bramlage family has done so much and will sorely missed, they were not Patriots. Will I be upset if the Patriot Guard shows, no I would be delighted but I'm not counting on them.
Contact your local legislation and get these rules changed and God Bless You.

Your probably right I didnt know the Bramlages but think they should be protected from these crazies what is wrong not only with our government to allow this but us people that let the goverment protect this group. Someday its going to get ugly. They will eventuallystep on the wrong toes.

I must say it neither matters whether a person is in the main auditorium, lunch room or at home. You honor the Bramlage family by remembering them and all that they stood for. They were an amazing family that set out in this world to do good and as Ron always said "Do what makes you happy". They deserve better than a bunch of hate mongers set out to turn this in to a hateful fiasco. I say ignore them as they do not exist and pray that the little ones do not understand what these hateful people are doing and saying. There will be so many young people, families and close friends. So much emotion. I just pray that this does not mar their time to say their goodbyes.

correction The New Middle auditorium holds about 700 people

They really are a sad group, though. So many of the kids and grandkids have obesity issues--one of the clear signs of long-term sexual abuse. It's no secret that Fred Phelps physically assaulted and abused his wife and children for two, maybe three decades. I shudder to think that there might also be a pattern of long-term sexual abuse happening in that compound of domestic terrorism.
