Not repremanded?... That's how "Contempt of Court" begins for the law abiding citizen!!

Personally, now I'm not feeling much respect for this court.

jdmdusa:
Since YOU have judged him, then YOU place him in a padded cell, YOU cook, deliver, hold his pipe, and YOU watch him die.

That's how they do it in dictatorship countries. You might be happier there.

This guy made mistakes, no doubt. He is still innocent until found guilty.

After reading the first three posts I am just wondering are we still in America?
@Kathy Cross Can you read? He is accused of drug trafficking not drug use so he would not be a crackhead but a drug dealer or more aptly drug trafficker.
@jdmdusa Vigilante justice is also against the law.Who died and made you judge jury and executioner? This is not to say he should not be punished for his crimes but the rule of law and respect for those laws is what helps separate us from savages.
@off the trail Do you only respect the court system when you agree with the decision or as it should be when the decision follows the rules laid out by the US constitution? Everyone is entitled to constitutional protections even vile despicable people with whom you disagree. If you have a problem with this then work on getting an amendment added to the constitution not voicing idle disrespect for the constitution as it stands now.

@chunky punky I am most assuredly not a crack user. I was just voicing my opinion. But are you saying that you are okay with someone like jdmdusa being judge jury and executioner?

@justaguess Yes I guess I did get a bit carried away.

@the folks who voted me clueless and nuts Why would I be either of those things? Given the fact that nothing I said was irrational, mean spirited, untrue or crazy. Again for the record I am not defending the actions of the accused if found guilty the law should and will punish him accordingly.

What's all this fuss about a Cracker Jack recipe? I've been whipping up my own Cracker Jack like popcorn for years!
We serve it while watching TV, sometimes sneak some into the movies.

I respect the courts, yes,.. all the decisions made or all the people working for the courts, not always. But this nothing to do with a court decision but rather the reaction of those enforcing court procedures.

Surprise,.. there is a standard of dress for court appearances. You CAN be found in contempt of court for your dress.

Ergo, my voicing of disrespect is neither idle nor against the constitution as it stands now, but in actuality is aimed at the judge who had the power and opportunity to teach this punk the constitution limits freedom of expression in certain sittings.

At 22 I had a court appearance for no driver's license, I appeared in court in a long sleeve shirt and jeans, not the typical attire a court would find offensive now days, but the judge being of old school mind and this being 1966, held me in contempt of court for inappropriate female attire. So don't tell me no law exists for court attire. This was almost fifty years ago, but even so, fines are only levied legally on the books and it was "contempt of court" by the judge's power of ruling it so.

You must be at least 35 years younger than me. Do you realize girls couldn't wear jeans or slacks to school when I was in high school? I was a clothing rebel and I'm the first to acknowledge times and clothing acceptance have changed, but the law does exist and judges have the power to enforce it. And they should, because expectation of respect for the courts has change enough.

Guilty or not, this punk was thumbing his nose at the court. That means he thumbed his powdery nose at all law abiding citizen, those same citizens most likely are footing his legal bill. He needs to show a little respect... as if.

@off the trail I completely misunderstood the intent of your previous comment. I am sorry for my over the top rant and of course I admit I was wrong. I agree respect should be shown when going to court and yes the judge should have enforced some kind of dress code as is his right.
