I have the mahic Jack, and never had any problems. It works great.

A couple friends have it also, and never had a problem.
I got rid of my landline, and i am have no regrets about the magic jack purchase.

Seems like the technically savvy people know how to use it while the computer challenged are the ones having problems. Then again, I wouldn't buy something called "Magic Jack" for my computer and expect it to work. Any product that uses the word "Magic" is already suspect.

I have a magic jack and it works great. I even let a friend borrow it when he went out of town and he was amazed, now he his one for himself. About 15 friends and family members have one and are happy also.

I bought one, sometime it works well sometime not so well. I would not consider getting rid of a land line or cell phone, and I probably won't continue after the year is up. Mine works best on a wired phone, and on calls placed to another land line.

Not sure whether the Magic Jack works or not, but I think it's interesting that ads for Verizon Wireless are alongside this story on the Sun Sentinel website.

i have 2 in the family and i will tell you they work exactly as stated. You need high speed internet and the computer has to stay on. When the power flickers off and the computer cycles down. I loose the Magic Jack, clearly I understand i need to reboot the computer so i put a battery backup on the computer. How stupid can people be, $20 @ year is a no brainer...

Wow I am shocked to read that
I could not be happier with my Magic Jack. I use mine all the time and have not had any problems at all with it . I have also got them for friends and family and have heard nothing but good reviews about it. 531 complaints ? I would love to see a poll of how many out of the millions sold are happy.

I have MagicJack and though it's kind of annoying how it long it takes to start up, the sound quality is great and you just can't beat the price. It was easy to set up, too. I didn't try the free trial, so I can't comment on that, but it seems to me the site was pretty clear on how to return it.

I've been using for weeks and it works fine. I pay nothing to call Canada now. I am using on a wireless network and it still works well. I am happy with the product.

The BBB is a bigger scam. They charge you for that little blue plaque, charge you yearly fees to be a member and do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for your business. The biggest waste of money I ever spent.

I ordered 2 majic jacks.....both of them worked fine for a month and now neither of them work.

Heights....I can't make a call from both of them. Today all of a sudden both of them stopped working. When I am trying to call those numbers from my cell....I hear the message..."THIS IS NOT A WORKING NUMBER".....Does anbody have the same problem?

Is there any way to get a new number for the same jack?

I am another happy customer. I can't imagine people having problems either unless they are computer ingorant or have a crappy ISP for service. There are some who expect the service to be as good as a landline too I suppose. Get real people it's $20 a YEAR for service. How many of you pay $100 a MONTH for cell phone service and get your call dropped at least 1 time a day. All those ... say "I". I. Talk about your crappy service lets talk about cell phones and customer service ... don't even get me started. All I can say to you complainers is see ya! Go pay $30,$40 or even $50 a month for a great landline service and shut up about the magic jack because you just a complainer and that is all you got going for you in life. The Magic Jack is amazeing for WHAT IT IS!

MJ is based in West Palm Beach. I had 2 of them and neither worked well. After 2 months, and dealing with the overseas support, I gave up. I am very technically experienced. I think the real problem was Comcast, my cable ISP, which has its own VOIP it sells for $30 a month or so, I think it simply blocked MJ best it could.

It's been some months now since the release of the Magic Jack service that everyone has been waiting for. I have to say that now I am showing that the company appears to be growing in the wrong direction. Their customer service has been proven to avoid any questions relating how to return the device under their 30 Day Trail period. I would expect a company to uphold their own policies.
It's true that you get what you pay for. You are a cattle if you believe anything else. The Magic Jack service would be beneficial to anyone who does not rely on when their phone service works.
There are plenty of websites out there that go into these details. I would recommend that anyone who currently owns the Magic Jack, or plans on going for the "magical" 30 Day Trail do some research at the very minimum.
Here is an example that might point the people effected into the right direction:

I don't know what people are talking about but I have had a MagicJack since April and it is better than Vonage. Cheaper and clearer especially on international calls. If you want to order one from me email me at NewHotProductsOnline@gmail.com and I'll explain all the quirks with the device. It is a very good product and the phone companies have been ripping us off long enough.
