Most of these islanders are dumb as dirt. They became independent from the white men, but still taking every opportunity ( getting on dingis , swim ) to go and work for the white men.
It would be better for them to be under british rule, their island would be organized , clean, local jobs. Toured these island a while ago and let me tell you the independent island were sheer disaster, poverty, filth, drug s , beggars everywhere, meanwhile islands still under british, french or dutch flag were neat, clean, well organized, wellcoming for tourists.

Yeah yeah yeah, Jamaican Independence day, Bahamian Independence day, independence was the worst thing to happen to these countries. All these black island counties that were once under British rule have gone to sh!t since gaining their independence. It just goes to show Black are incapable of self rule, just look at Africa.

Yes Trevor, you are correct about the cowards and bigots hiding behind their pseudonyms. Their messages are offensive to reasonable people. However, our new immigrants should embrace the American culture a bit more like your grandfather and mine did. Indeed, they kept the best of their old home, but they left the gondolas and goofy hats back in Italy. My point is that celebrating our old country more than our new one alienates others. We want to continue the idea of a melting pot, not create a new recipe for a sour tasting stew of incompatible customs and mores.

BTW: American parties with a Jamaican flavor are lots of fun, and the food is great!

So did mine but quite a different immigrant group. They strove to learn the language, learn OUR customs, respect America, be law abiding, become citizens, celebrate their new American holidays.

All this is just another excuse to party down and guaranteed there will be vandalism and fighting going on and it wouldn't surprise me if someone gets killed. Guaranteed. Why does the city allow these crazy parties in the first place and than allow them to party until 2am. Wouldn't it make sense to lets say from 1pm to 7pm to and minimize the problems that are going to happen.

I hate to tell you this, but more Jamaicans lived in Broward County Before 2000-2005, so grow up. A lot of those people actually moved out and other islanders moved in. Oh my bad, I totally forgot that Jamaicans tend to represent all the black people from the Caribbean. Goats wont have to roam Broward County, because Miami Cubans breed them for everyone else. As for Ganja, dude Jamaicans wont have to plant it for you, your white neighbors will :P. Did you not hear, it is now grown mostly in the suburbs. It is so easy to blame other for all the fucked shit that happens in society. I am just waiting for us Americans to start blaming our own for a lot of the crimes in this country.
