i think they are. they should put a rain gauge out in the middle of the lake cause i see t-storms on the radar over the lake nearly every day. heck i got 5in. in the 1st week of june 2 1/2 from so called barry and another 2 1/2 from a single t-storm.

talk about ignorance, the water level is barely up and they want to ease restirctions, must be the some incompetent jerks that drained the water in the first place that helped create this shortage. man vs. nature, maybe some day man will realize nature controls us, we cannot control it. stop before you f-up all our water supplies!!

Your ignorant, the normal level is 10 feet, not 13 feet like the fed says, this was done for big sugar. I mean why do you think they are finding dead Indians at this water level???

What the hell is it with people and sprinklers here , it rains evryday and they still feel tht need to run there sprinklers 2 hours a day!!!, as for the lake we need to address the problem of people making decisions to dump LARGE amounts of water from the lake before even the threat of a storm and then trying to bury that decision and never again mention it when the supposed storms never happen, these people are paid BIG money to make these decisions and should be held accountable just like anyone else when they screwup as in last years massive water dump (with no storms)!!!!!!!, and now they just dont seem to know what to do, maybe they should have thought this out in a what if scenario before dumping the lake to the lowest water level ever !!!!!

They need to improve the existing storm water management system. It is ancient and inferior. If they do not dump the water from the afternoon deluge they we will have urban flooding everywhere.

Exactly the point - why does anyone need to water now? See anything wilting or drying up? How dumb can it get - stop wasting water and save some for when it's really needed.

Never water my grass. It stayed green all winter and so far this summer. If people would STOP cutting their grass so damn short you would NEVER need to water it! It's these moronic lawn services. Since I fired my lawn guy I let my grass actually grow to about 4 - 6 inches and it not only encourages the roots to grow deeper to where the water is, but it crowds out the weeds too. BTW - I hand pull any weeds, I don't use chemicals on my lawn. It's not perfect, but it doesn't need to be watered.

I also don't hand wash my car. I run it through a car wash where they recycle the water. Truthfully, it's not for conservation as much as being lazy and don't want to stand outside in 90 degree heat to wash the damn cars.

I think SFWM are not very good at what they do. The canals are FULL and the lake will be too. They rush these restrictions, get everyone mad and make themselves look incompetent (which they are). My favorite is when it's raining and the city sprinklers are going!

YOU ARE SO RIGHT ON TRACK!!
I agree my grass has made it and is green as ever and my car is washed at a establishment which also helps people earn money........people who dont get out in there own lawns dont get it.......let it go let it go.....perhaps when they start limiting loads of laundry or washing dishes and flushing they will wake up and realize the grass is the least of the problems.......how many let the water run while brushing you teeth? or shower for more then 10mins or have to refill the level of the pool and spa?????????? The state should buy a Zepherhills tap hahaha

I turned off my sprinkler system just before they went to once a week.

The result? Thick, green, lush grass...

Oh, and I let the torrential downpours wash my car... it's been washed twice at a carwash since 2005. and it looks great!
