Come on Steph, we both know the donation was public record. But we also both know that the land donation proposal was only made to make the Bergeron land look more attractive because it did not have the same complex environmental issues. Don't get off track because that was the original plan. Sorry that the land prices were just too high to close the deal, but I still commend you for allowing common sense and your reputation in politics to lead you to the appropriate decision...even if it was not for the right reasons.

never understood all the fuse, about a new school, instead of builidng a new school how about a building a better curiculum, there is a reason why florida public schools are not well regarded. parents are more concerned in a building than actually builidng a better school system.

one last comment, "follow the money", obviously building a new school would have been such bad business and community decision; so those parents who pushed so hard for it, i wonder if there any ties to the landowners or construction companies, suppliers...etc I am not saying there is a connection, but just wondering.

What if these guys just didn't want to sell their land. Its called supply and demand. If there is a shortage of land the price is gonna go up.

My kids attended classes in 40 yr old built school buildings in Jerricho-Sysosst, NY, 30-35 per class; glad to say the building had little to do with them getting into Ivy League Colleges...parents stop jogging, get off your computers, stop gossiping about your neighbors and pay attention to your kids lives
