PBG got hit hard with their stores closing. Homeowners who went into foreclosures, visited those shops on a regualar basis when they had jobs. When the people left the area, it was just a matter of time for these shops to close up as well. Wait for all those restaurants next to close up at Legacy Place and Downtown Gardens mall. Abacoa and PBG will be a ghost town in the years to come. The ones left behind will be picking up the slack of the taxes that the local politicians would need for their expensive tastes that they desire..

1100 W. Broward Blvd.

If you're going to report, at least report correct info. It's not that hard to double-check an address before you hit the GO button.

The store in Lauderdale Lakes was never busy for a number of years. It's amazing it remained opened this long - good or bad economy. There's absolutely no reason to go to that particular Starbucks as the adjacent mall has all but died.
The downtown Fort Lauderdale store was too difficult to get into since the traffic and lack of parking made it onnerous to access. Bad locations for both.

I'm still waiting for the one in my neighborhood, lol. As for the rest of them, sounds like their "upselling" tactic didn't work out.

My heart is bleeding. That's 600 fewer stores where I can walk in, order a "small" coffee, and have some snotty 22 year old who calls himself a "barrista" look me in the eye, with all seriousness, and say "do you mean a 'grande'" or a "tall" or whatever they call it in their pseudo french nonsense that they speak over there. just give me a freakin small coffee you snotty little punk before I jump across the counter and choke you with your own stupid apron. morons. if they'd just let people order in English, and pay a fair price for a cup of coffee, they wouldn't be shuttering stores left and right. how many dunkin donuts do you hear of closing? maybe one or two here or there, but not 600. I have two words for you....bye bye.
