We're headed for socialism

Full story: South Florida Sun-Sentinel

I lived and worked in Paris, France , in the 1970s and early 1980s. At that time, France was governed by Francois Mitterand, a socialist, and Georges Marchais, Communist Party head.

Sadly Mr. Armstrong, by the time the followers wake up to what's happening I fear it's going to be too late to stop it.

No, we're not.

The winds of "change" are already blowing for the democrats. Why do you think so many of them are coming out AGAINST Obama and Pelosi's stupidity now?

They can read the polls just like everyone else.

LOTS of the media keep saying "oh they're dead, gone, kaput."

That's what everyone thought in 1993. And along came 1994 when Clinton, a popular president,(more popular than Obama if you believed Clinton's PR machine) got b*tchslapped.

Rasmussen:

The GOP for the THIRD STRAIGHT WEEK has held on to the 1 point lead in the generic congressional ballot.

4th time in 5 YEARS.

And as Rasumussen says, this poll actually shows a LULL IN SUPPROT FOR THE DEMOCRATS.

Gosh, so much for the “everyone LOVES us” democrats, huh?

2 weeks ago, democrats fell to their lowest level of support in the past year.

Pay attention:

Democrats BEGAN the year with a seven point lead.

Men prefer the GOP by 44 to 34%, women the demos by 44 to 36%.

This part is gonna suck for you dems:

MAINSTREAM VOTERS HEAVILY PREFER THE GOP by a 51% to 26% margin. Those in the PLITICAL class favor democrats by 74% to 12%.

GOP has pulled neck and neck with democrats on some very key issues.

Thaaaaaaaaat’s gonna hurt.

69% of GOP voters now believe congressional republicans are out of touch with the base.

Which means finding NEW people will be the growth of the party.

For the SECOND STRAIGHT MONTH, GOP has gotten closer to dems when it comes to who the voter trust more on the economy.

44% dems, and 43% GOP. Owwwwwwwwwwwch. Just last month, voters favored democrats 45 to 42.

On 10 key issues, voters trust dems on 5 and GOP on 4. The parties are tied on abortion.

Republicans lead on National Security and taxes. On the war on terror, 48 to 41%, and GOP has lead for SEVEN STRAIGHT MONTHS.

GOP holds a 6 point lead on taxes, representing the FOURTH CONSECUTIVE MONTH voters have strusted the GOP more.

The GOP was behind the dems on every survey since September. Not any more! Republicans have a 2 point lead on the War in Iraq.

What this more means is PEOPLE are losing support for the DEMOCRATS also.

You guys are going to be just as hated as the GOP for your stupidity.

The faster and harder you jerk left, the faster and harder the next election can flip.

So, keep listening to your own stupid PR bullsh*t about how popular Obama is. Clinton did the same thing in 1993.

And got b*tchslapped in 1994.

The cyclical winds of change are already blowing....

But it won't be called socialism. Mr. President will be so proud of his creation it will be called "Obamaism".

I think I will buy more guns and gold.

Spread the wealth around!!

Obama is such a fraud. He made million selling the racist Rev Wright's speech Audacity of Dope, whom he abandoned for political expediency. Of course he paid tax on his earning from book, work etc and some for charity like millions of American do but he didn't live up to his rhetoric. If he was really concerned about poor and downtrodden, he should have spread his wealth above 250k to them and set an example for others to follow suit, instead of extorting hard earned money from others and spread it around to losers and incompetents. Also, if he has really abandoned Rev. Wright and his racist ideology, he should abandon the book and donate all the money from it to charity. Leadership is all about encourging people by setting an example for others to follow.

I already pay my fair share. I just don't want to pay someone else's fair share.

The last time a major union tried to own and run a large company was when United Airlines went into bankruptcy the first time. It didn't take long for the entire new structure to collapse under its own weight. Enter bankruptcy number 2. If you don't think that is where Chrysler and GM are headed you aren't paying attention. The only difference is that United Airlines didn't squander billions and billions of tax payer money in the process.

This article is quite true as far as France is concerned. I sold my business and left France at that time, to come and live in UK. The business taxes had become crippling under the "Front de la Gauche".
A year later, as my father passed away, I couldn't count my blessings enough.
Unlike my sibblings, still in France, I didn't have to pay such a hefty inheritance tax after his estate was shared, being now British resident.

I don't know if the same French socialist model will be applicable to the USA under Obama; I hope not, but beware!!

We have been a socialist country for a long time. The only difference is now we all get to benefit from it instead of only a select few.

Here's another prime example of how effective the Democratic Party has been creating class envy in the electorate.

Attn - GOP / Rush Limbaugh Dupes

Trickle-Down has failed. It did not work. We cut taxes on the rich and cut regulation, beginning with Reagan in 1981 and continuing all through both Bush regimes.

All boats were not lifted. Million of Americans are out of work. Millions have lost their homes. Millions more, fear one or both. 100 million Americans, are underinsured and 1 illness away from financial ruin.

And you, keep swallowing their garbage like a sheep!

How insane, It was Reagan that caused the HUGE economic expansion of the 1980s and 1990's This economy is Bushes fault because he wasnt half the man Reagan was. And besides any fool knows the Democrats have controlled Congress in the last years.

Define "all". As they take more and more away from people who work hard enough to have a good income, there is more given to those with their hands out. Sounds like socialism to me. Not exactly what we have had before.
