Sandy wrote: <quoted text>it's now a soap Opera... Are you aware, Sandy, that every time you show up at this forum you bitch, whine and complain about it? And no one agrees with you but Terk. As BAH said to you, you have a choice. No one is forcing you to show up here. So why are you here? Find something else that you do enjoy doing and have a great day!

Sure, there are many dishonest people out there, but they will always be there. We need to get involved in the political arena at every level if we don't like what's taking place. I've been disliked, hated, ignored, attacked...you name it. But there's nothing these people can do to me. My goal is to run the good race. That is all that is expected of any of us. We do have an obligation to be informed about the issues, not the personalities. And I do think you are on the right track just believing in our U.S. Constitution. Good luck, Jim. Maybe Jim will listen to you. Hope springs eternal!

TOAL POAM wrote: <quoted text> Jim you know and I know they said this to get Obama elected. I use the VA and have been very happy with the service there in Lake City and Gainesville (except that damn valet parking thingy). The DAV is a great organization and have helped me on my VA compensation claims. I became a member of the DAV last year and glad I did. They have helped alot. Obama went after our V benifets day one of him becoming president. Thank god our DOD, DAV, and other organizations stepped in to get him to change his mind. I hope this 4 years goes quick! Hmmmmm, are we talking about the same president Obama that gave benifits back to the vets, his first order of business? The one's GWB took away? Are you using the VA for a Mental problem?

Benning, GA for his next assignment in Afghanistan on Friday. This is my precious son whom I love so much. All of these Special Forces guys are incredible people. They do "above and beyond" what is expected in the military. These are our heroes but you will never read about their accomplishments anywhere.I humbly ask for your prayers that they all will return to their families. Thank you. Yes, they do...and, from what you've said, your son goes above and waaay beyond. I know the type of men you speak of well. I lived in Ft. Benning, right across the street from the Polo Field, when my stepdad was a Major assigned there. From the enlisted men on up the ranks they were the elite. I will gladly pray for the safe return of your son, Rita. Thank you for producing such a fine man.

flgma & Kaye: Thank you for your support. I have to tell you though, that as a boy, my son was "Peck's bad boy". Always breaking things, skipping school to go surfing, taking my car out after I had gone to sleep. You name it, he did it - always in some kind of trouble. Not criminal, just having fun and always getting caught. But, he turned out to be such a smart, compasionate, brave human being. And he does believe in God.
