My hair is totally frizzy during the humid weather. Is there a product that I can use on a daily basis that has large amounts of keratin so that I can avoid using chemicals at the salon?

thats strange..im wondering if its the clarifying shampoo they used before they did it. sometimes that makes me brassy... other than looking like carrot top, i love it! it took 10min instead of 40 min to blowdry and i didnt even need a round brush

In the review it states that it stripped her color so....I wouldn't trust it with the keratin treatment.

I have used the keratin complex on all types of hair, even fine and bleached and i love it. if anything, it leaves the hair in better condition than what it was in when we began/

I'm from trinidad, and i've done the keratin treatment, its not what i expected. I thought my hair was going to be silky straight for 3-4 months. The 1st day after doing the treatment my hair got all wavy and dry, i wished i had never done it. I visited my stylist and she was like "what could have gone wrong", I dont know, but we can do it over, but i suggest we wash and style and see what the effect is like, if you dont like it, we would do it over. Yeah right, do they really want to do it over free of charge, i dont think so. Anyway, its was lovely afterwards, just what I thought it should look like, but its been a month now and i haven't been to my stylist since. So that says alot. However my hair did not maintain the silky straight, its like my normal hair, just more manageable. But is it really worth it, i keep asking my self.....

Also you got to use Sodium Chloride free shampoos, i wish they had mentioned this to me before. And you thought it was hassle free. The price you pay for straight. I think a quick wash once a week, blow dry and flat iron after, if you want that straight look. Is the way to go...... Thats my problem, if my hair has to look good i have to go to the stylist every week, but my hair looks just like if you had the keratin treatment but not.... If there is anyone out there who has good techniques for keeping hair looking good without visiting the stylist, please help.....

I just got home from having it done...no masks, no eyes burning, and no sore throat. My hair feels nice and silky right now, will let you know Saturday after it's washed out how it feels and looks. I had it done at Nadia's in Englishtown/Manalapan, a free blow out is included when you go back. If you go there, ask for Jen, she's fantastic!

why can't u use it on virgin hair. I am tjhinking of having my daughter use it.

is it dangerous to have done on a 15 yr girl

how was yours, adriane? when i left the salon my hair looked great. however, i was very disappointed with the results when i washed my hair. it is still very frizzy when i air dry it.

How healthy was your hair prior to the treatment?
Perhaps you would be better off having a more permanent process done.

If you want your daughter to have straighter, smoother hair I would suggest having a Japanese thermal, smooth control, Caribbean Dream Relaxer or Pravana Keratin Fusion. These are more permanent processes and with you daughter having healthy hair and if you find someone with a lot of experience, she should have beautiful, long lasting results.

Uh-oh!!! My hair is gorgeous right now, it is not glued to my head and feels silky. I had the Paul Mitchell relaxer put in a few months ago and had the same results as you, still frizzy, but instead of a refund I got an extra service with highlights (my request). I go back in Saturday at 4:00 for them to wash and blow it out (included with the Coppola treamtent). If my hair is still frizzy, I'll either get the refund this time or apply it to the Chi Straightner. I think Jen told me it would be one extra hour to do it and they charge by the hour for it, so it won't cost me much more. One of the girls who works in Nadia's used to work for the guy who ows The Salon and he actually called her at work to ask if she wanted to work for him, lol. Did you call them and let them know you're unhappy with their service? Also, how long was the Keratin left on your hair before it was blow dryed and are you 100% positive they used a flat iron that went to 450 degrees?(Most go to 425).
