I got my hair treated with keratin complex the other day and the salon I went to ran out of the keratin shampoo. I am heading over there today after work to get a small spec of it that the salon has left to wash out after my 72 hours are done, but after that, i have to wait a whopping 3 more days for them to receive more shampoo. For the time being, what alternative shampoos that i can buy off the counter at a drugstore can I use?

Not a drugstore brand by any means, but I've been told Pureology shampoos do not contain sodium chloride, which is what you want to steer clear of. Pureology should be pretty easily available at your local beauty store/beauty supply. Any shampoo with no sodium chloride is ok.

Hi im actually from new hampshire but im going to college in orlando in the fall. anyway, I came upon this website when I was researching the after effects of the coppola keratin treatment. I originally went to get a japanese straightening, but my stylist was wary since I had overdone highlights and my hair was weak and frizzy from flat ironing frequently. so I opted for the coppola treatment instead. its been 7 hours and my hair is the straightest its ever been. but do you think my hair will stay this way? it wasnt curly before, just poofy. if I air dryed it before I had flat roots but then big poofs that sort of resembled waves. If I blow dryed it then my hair looked crazy like I belonged to a metal band in the 80s. I had a bunch of split ends and my stylist suspected that the person who did my highlights overdid them. After the treatment she also said my hair soaked the keratin treatment right up. will my results be better than some of the other peoples on here when I finally shampoo?? also, since my hair is now healthier with this keratin treatment, is it safe for me to get a japanese straightening once this stuff wears off? thanks!

also my hair is very thin, when I used to flat iron it, it took about 10 minutes because my hair is naturally thin

MOP C-System Hydrating Shampoo
Paves Professional Bedhead, Mastey and Burt's Bees makes sulfate-free shampoos

Sulfate Free or Sodium Chloride free? And regarding sodium chloride (aka salt)??? What about sweat? Should I wash my hair immediatly after a workout??
I just had my hair done a second time. I'm not quite as thrilled this time. My hair seems fuzzy on the ends. It's not as smooth. I went to to someone different. What could of been the problem? |

Another question...Can you just put the solution in and not straighten it? I liked my curls. I just didn't like the frizz. I want to have hair like a perm. Curly when you want it but the freedom to blow dry it straight without looking like a frizz ball in a few minutes. I always envied people that could take a quick shower and blow dry their hair immediately. I had to let it dry naturally for a good 2 hrs and when it was almost dry I would pull some of the curl out with a dryer and my fingers. I would have to plan my day around my hair ritual. If I tried to blow dry before letting it dry a few hrs on it's own. It looked like I stuck my finger in a light socket.

i recently had the keratin therapy done. would anyone know if i am still allowed to use biosilk silk therapy on my hair or will it ruin my treatment? thanks

I am also wondering if now that my hair is healthier because of the coppola keratin, will it be ok for me to get japanese straightening once this stuff wears off? when my stylist did the test strand for the japanese straightening before we did the coppola, she said the ends of my highlights sort of looked "gummy" but that was it, and ive gotten all my split ends trimmed.

1 I'm a little worried though because I washed my hair this morning and then it got wet in the torturous storm and I am getting a haircut tomorrow, which means I'll be getting my hair wet again... Yikes! I'll just make up for it by not washing my hair for the next couple of days post-haircut. I have a few questions for those who've had long lasting results with this treatment: -How often did you wash your hair? -What shampoo/conditioner(if any) did you use? -Did you put any other hair products into your hair?(leave-in conditioner, hair spray, etc) -Did you still blow out your hair or use a flat iron? Also, does anyone recommend a good volumizing hair product? I need more volume! Thanks so much!!! |

also, my hair is neither stiff nor waxy like others have said about their own hair. should i be concerned?

Hi njgirl from Morganville :) I'm in Manalapan, where did you get yours done? I'm going to Nadia's this week. I know Metro does it also, but they wanted $100.00 more than I'm paying.

i got mine done at The Salon in Manalapan on Rt 33. Very good deal going on right now. $175 plus $40 if you want to buy the shampoo, but there's no obligation.

Oh wow, that is a fantastic price. I'm paying $250.00 and thought it was a great price. Do you use this salon regularly, or just for the Complex treatment? Also, is that price for long hair? Thanks :)

I just found an inexpensive shampoo that would be great for hair treated with the keratin treatment. Cristophe Beverly Hills Purely Natural Shampoo and Conditioner dont contain sulfates, parabens, fragrances or dyes, and the conditioner even has keratin in it. They are each only $7.99 at your local CVS. http://www.thebudgetfashionista.com/archive/c...

Well I did get the highlights, and my stylist said that it shouldn't strip the treatment. I do notice my hair a little bit curlier after sleeping thru the night, it isn't frizzier since the highlites. It still stays straight after a blowout. Haven't noticed a big difference yet but I will let you know how soon my treatment starts to wear off, it's been in my hair since May 30th '08. |

i just got the keratin complex by coppola on saturday. i swear it made my hi-lites very brassy almost yellowy orange... has anyone had this problem?
|
|
the salon just opened so this was the first time that i have ever been there. that's the standard price for any hair length. however, the blogs that i have been reading say their hair is stiff and waxy, but mine feels super straight, sleek, and soft. i guess i'll find out when i wash my hair on tuesday. good luck! |
