I made the mistake of posting my detailed resume on Careerbuilder. I had it posted there for one full month. The objective on my resume clearly stated opportunities in healthcare and in addition to receiving a ton of spam and scam solicitations, the only responses to my posted resume were for insurance sales and franchising.

If you value your time, I strongly recommend not wasting it on career builder. It's full of scams. Haven't looked much into monster, but wouldn't doubt that's just as much of a waste of time.

THERE IS A COMPANY ON CAREER BUILDER CALLED IMPACT BIO-HAZARD CHEMICAL CO. IF THE COMPANY IN QUESTION, CONTACTS YOU, YOU ARE A POTENTIAL VICTIM OF A SCAM. YOU DO NOT NEED TO PAY A COMPANY TO PERFORM A BACKGROUND CHECK AND THE COMPANY THEY CLAIM, THAT DOES THEIR CHECKS, HAS NO TRACK HISTORY OF THEM IN THEIR DATA BASE!!! THEY ASK YOU TO PURCHASE A VISA PREPAID DEBIT CARD AT WALGREENS, AND THEN THEY GET THE INFO FROM YOU AND TAKE OFF WITH YOUR MONEY!!!! IF YOU HAVE TO QUESTION IF SOMETHING IS A SCAM, IT PROBABLY IS! EDUCATE YOURSELF, DO RESEARCH! NOTICE THERE IS NO OFFICE ADDRESS PROVIDED WITH THIS COMPANY!! I HOPE THIS PAGE HELPS YOU AND GOD BLESS!

* note: to find out if a business is accredited go to

type in the name of the business, and if it doesn't show up, then you know better.

Career Builder does suck. Monster got me my first job ever after the military, but believe it or not everyone I know uses Craigslist for jobs. Unfortunately, since the economic collapse in 2008, they too are full of scams. Best wishes to ALL seeking employment, wherever they are.

Yes, it really surprises me how many sware by job seeking on craigslist which I think is also riddled with scam and fraud. To me the bottom line is job seeking is a job and time is a valuable comodity and resource...so if your time is being wasted with job seeking scams and fraud across Career builder and craigslist, one is really losing time and money, in the long-run. My experience has been that Career builder and craigslist serve as nothing more than as a small information source on what jobs exist in a given area. Posting your resume on Career builder and waiting to be contacted by a company is a worthless endeavor and is opening yourself up to fraud, scam and ID theft. I have learned that if you use Career builder and Craigslist, you really have to read-between-the-lines and verify and check that the posts you are seeing are for legitimate jobs by legitimate companies.

Very true. Since the collapse of our economy, it seems the best way to find a job is to actually run around and apply in person. The Internet held the promise of making the process easier, but until the websites start policing themselves, it has become a haven for fraudsters.

Thank you Joe, it is quite obvious what these people are trying to do. Taking advantage of others , who are seeking work in this tough economy. People who are struggling to take care of themselves and provide for their children. Preying on the desperate and hopeful. I don't know how they can live with themselves, knowingly, ruining peoples lives. It's really sad and pathetic. Impact Bio-Hazard Chemical Co. is a scam. Do not fall victim. Do not pay anyone anything for a false promise of employment.

Apple One sucks. Apple One is a fraud and scam. Very big waste of time for me. I regret having anything to ever do with them. I applied and took their supposed aptitude test with the hopes to be placed somewhere. After I gave them all my personal information, I never heard back from them and they never returned my emails and phone calls...they would put me on hold and then the phone would go dead as if I was cut off. Much like "Peggy" in the Discover Card commercials. I believe they gave out my personal information and I got on many scam list possible thanks to them. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time with Apple One in Northern Colorado, they totally suck!

This is a scam that is being run by Antonio (Tony) Giovanni Silliano. Look him up. I and about 50 other people helped to have him arrested and put him in jail for more than two years in Memphis TN. Now he's out and he's running this scam...The type of company and job changes, but it's always about the background check...he first CHARGES you for the check that never happens...THEN he takes your information: Date of Birth, SSN, address, etc and he opens credit cards in your name, applies for loans in your name and steals every cent out of your bank account about 1-2 months after the original scam and by then you've forgotten about that job that never materialized...In Texas the Better Business Bureau put out a warning about him - He was calling his business National Cleaning Corporation (NCC) and was working with his wife named April Nicole McKenzie Silliano.
Look it up...you'll see it is true.
And if you've been scammed by this guy you need to IMMEDIATELY put a watch/lock on your credit. Check with one of the credit bureaus, they have to let you lock your credit. You will give them a secret code that you will have to give whenever you open a new credit account...this can save you from financial ruin. I know a guy who lost $40,000 to Tony Silliano getting loans in his name. You MUST take care of this...
His site is down now, but he will pop back up again soon...so watch out.

Yeah, Antonio Silliano, you "had to relocate" when the cops in Texas, Georgia, Missouri, Florida, South Carolina, New York, and Tennessee were hot on your trail. It's good to know you still monitor these boards...Trying to protect your scam, eh? Well, that stuff ain't working. You coulda just given my son his $90 back, but no, you were so sure you were smarter than me and all the little people you scammed...they all joined together, tracked you and got your chubby butt arrested...And I have a hunch it is about to happen again. Next time they get you, you won't be out til you are an old Man, er, Woman!! Karma...it is a toughie, isn't it?

Signed up with Career builder yesterday and quickly removed my registration the next day. The reason being is I discovered misspelled words. For an organization that is suppose to specialize in job finding and resumes which include correct spelling this is unacceptable.

CareerBuilder does have verification mechanisms in place used to screen companies and individuals who wish to access our products and services. Since it is the individual employers who create and post their own job postings, we do not review each posting for errors in spelling or grammar, however, if you feel that there is a job on the website that violates our Terms and Conditions, please forward a link to the job to TSST@CareerBuilder.com.
We will investigate complaints thoroughly and take action as appropriate based on our Terms and Conditions.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Sagittarius

You're wearing rose-tinted glasses today, especially when you look at some of the special people in your life. Right now you only want to see their good points and you'll deliberately turn a blind eye to any faults that might be on show. If you can escape from the real world for a day with you-know-who you'll have a marvelously romantic and emotional time together. But do your best to come back to earth tomorrow.
