Just when you think this story couldn't get any more disturbing. The person or persons responsible for this depraved act need to be caught and exterminated. My prayers to the family, friends and congregants of this lady.

This female minister didn't deserve to die like that and she may have been murdered by one of the atheists who posts hatred against all Christians in this forum. The fact she was stabbed multiple times shows that someone really hated her and what she stood for. It's a sad case that shakes a community to its roots.

I don't really wish that on you or anybody else, I was just making a point as to how an idiotic statement can come across. Now grow up.

you are not too bright, too easily offended, or just-plain uniformed of the world around you. The story as breaking says that a pastor was murdered, that her body was "posed" and that all clergy in your area have no been warned by law enforcement to be "on guard." This isn't real difficult. Any criminal profiler will look for basic elements, a "pose" is one of them, these crimes are USUALLY sexual in nature, but this pose probably was'nt (because they've warned every single Church leader in your community.) Yes, even bums and derelects can post on message boards (like this fellow http://salesianity.blogspot.com/2009/07/could... )
and even the White House has said to be on the lookout for folks with the intent to send a message http://www.huffingtonpost.com/huff-wires/2009...
read between the lines. If you're an atheist in that community and your vocal as hell about it, you'll probably get (and deserve, because you earned it) extra-special law-enforcement attention because when they say this woman was "posed" they most likely mean in some sort of "crucifixition" position. And they WILL find the person, and I hope to God you are a death-penalty state.

I'm brighter than you, because i'm not paranoid, as you seem to be. Take your meds, get some sleep and you'll be much better in the morning.

Yes, we have the death penalty, hillbilly. And I hope the guy gets to put it to use. In the meantime, I don't think people should be pointing fingers. That's the Investigator's job.

being brighter than me does'nt make you you very bright. If you're not paranoid, why did you seem so offended by the previous posters broad generalization of internet message-board posters who make a point of expressing their atheistic viewpoint? or are you just an atheist who is extra-sensitive to being "misconstrued"? what's got you butt-hurt exactly?

I dont even know what to say to such a brutal act. Im from "small town Texas"... I HAD to seek out local forum chatter because national news just wasnt telling enough. I wish all the town folks in this area safety and a quick apprehension and prosecution. Im just shocked... literally. We just never know who we pass on the street, do we? Y'all stay safe.

I too am from small town Texas ,, South Texas ( not Canada as it says )I do also agree with my fellow Texan here,, the news needs to tell us more.. if not but for public safety. I mean really .....

I do not think this was an atheist ... they just dont care and would not go to all this trouble,( I am Catholic ,, not atheist )Think about it for a moment ,atheists are WAY more concerned with political issues and their own personal freedoms,, no prayer in school , no mention of Jesus at Christmas ,, things like that. This is so way over the top ,,, it was meant to scare ALL of us . I feel terrible for this lady . Bless her and all of us ,, we need it.

Bringing up atheists or politics seems self serving and childlike at best. I recall the BTK killer was a deacon in his church and a code enforcement officer.

EXACTLY RIGHt. Take a look at all the killers on death row in your state and the majority of them are christians. Just watch "Lockup" once in while. When the clergyman visits they all hit their knees.

"Being brighter than me doesn't make you you very bright." Wow! And those are you words. I'm not paranoid, I would be just as offended if the broad generalization were made about christians. We're here to discuss the facts, not point fingers at those whose beliefs differ from our own.

However, I have noticed that ALL people in Tn. have no more than two teeth after the age of 17. And from what i've heard not many can read or write. I guess you're one of the lucky ones.

Yes, but not sick enough ( I hope ) to beat the death penalty. This person doesn't deserve to breathe.

This is spooky. We live across from a church here and they are asking us to keep on eye on it. I'm not scared for my life or anything, but there is this chill in the air.
