On Wednesday, officers arrested Miesha Thomas, 29, 28 SFC 453, and Lance White 23, 831 Mann St., Apt. 108, on several charges of second-degree forgery.
Thomas is charged with 19 counts of second-degree forgery and the affidavit shows that Thomas received 19 credit cards in her name during a period from September 2009 to October 2010. According to the affidavit, the credit cards were fraudulently loaded by someone representing themselves as a Western Union employee conducting a training exercise on a merchant’s terminal and sent to addresses at 958 Robinson St., 215 Burke St. and 831 Mann St., Apt. 108. Each of the credit cards sent to Thomas were allegedly loaded with $950, totaling $17,120.
White is charged with 13 counts of second-degree forgery. He is accused of receiving 13 credit cards in his name during a period from August 2009 to September 2010. The cards were also loaded the same way, according to the affidavit, and he reportedly received a total of $12,350. The cards were send to 215 Burke St. and 831 Mann St., Apt. 108.
