Looks like someone got pushed off their stepping stone. Oh well, at least he had time to get some "resume builder" projects in on our dollar.

Good going to the negative and fearful people of Oroville, you have now accomplished one of your objectives to see that Mr. Teitelman’s contract would not be renewed.
What other goals have you in common? Let’s see,
Remove the city administrator, remove the fire and police chief, and remove the council members who do not go along with your agenda? Seems to be lots of those you have sent to the graveyard when they cross you.

Oh well, Mt. Teitelman will do very well, probable double his income elsewhere.

Maybe you could find a replacement, someone who will say yes to your game, but they won't last, they will end up in your graveyard, remember you hired Mr. Teitleman in the first place.

Eric's bedside manor is unusual. But I feel the city of Oroville needed someone to get the ball rolling in certain areas. The mentality of some Orovillians is that they didn't want the town to progress at all. But Eric did. Good luck Mr. Teitelman in whatever you do! BTW... I think the roundabout was a wonderful idea. Whenever we us it, we start mocking the people that freak out when they get to it.... "Uh oh, uh oh, what do we do? What do we do? Where do we go? Ahhh.... I'm going to die!"

Brittney you are too funny! I agree. I also wanted to know if anyone else noticed how self serving Pittman seems. Vacation? He couldn't make up his mind before he left? Give me a break.

The person the City Council needs to give the boot too is Hatley. He has a negative outlook on nearly all issue's.

Well, Just when the city of Oroville was starting to look better, BANG! Take out the person responsible. That's what they do here in Oroville. It is time to VOTE OUT those old fogies on the city council. Oroville needs to move on beyond these old guys that are afraid of change and afraid to make anything different/nicer. Centennial Park and the round about were a great change for Oroville and its too bad these guys have no taste and don't really care about the future of their own city.

Its not the function of the roundabout, which functions very well btw, it's the idea of making things nicer in Oroville. It's making it a more beautiful city that MAYBE people might want to visit. It's making a city that young families might want to move to, to raise their children, to shop in, and ultimately PAY TAXES TO. I bet you don't have a problem with tax payer money being used for the veterans park or the new stadium. I grew up in Oroville, left for college and years after, and I am back now and Oroville is a MUCH nicer place to live than it was in the 80's and 90's and I am sure decades before that. I don't want to see that progress stopped, just when things were looking better. Again, its not the function of the roundabout, or centennial park, or riverbend park for that matter, its the whole idea of making this city a nicer place to live.

A roundabout or parks do not make Oroville a better place to live, jobs and places to shop with your family would make Oroville a better place to live. What Oroville needs are jobs and a director who wants to live in a town they work in and will spend they money in the local area. The roundabout and parks would be a bonus.

I would like to begin my comment with the definition of a City Councilman:
Enacts ordinances, directs their enforcement, and, sets administrative policy.
· Approves the hiring of all city employees.
· Manages the city's finances operations by levying taxes, adopting budgets, auditing accounts, borrowing money and designating depositories for city funds.
· Establishes advisory boards and commissions and appoints their members.
· Conducts inter-governmental affairs with other units of government, including the state, county and federal agencies.
· Guides development in accordance with the comprehensive land use plan.
KEY NOTE: Protects the long-range welfare of the city and its residents by formulating policies that will help the city solve future problems.

Last night was a complete joke. Us as tax payers have elected 4 highly influenced councilman who voted to not allow a contract to be renewed with one person that (even though he is not a councilman) fits the description of a councilman. Eric has done nothing but better this city since he began. He is not paid to be "Mr Rogers" he is there to do a job. There is a very negative element of faceless moles with their own agenda that have continued to destroy the future of Orovile and the future of our children. There are no jobs avaialable for our teenagers due to those who have managed stop any hope of new development with intimidation of our public figures. No wonder there is such a huge drug problem.. what else do the kids have to do. Those who have put a stop to any growth have done nothing but feed the drug dealers of our area and have destroyed the future of many children that would have been responsible citizens and tax payers. I know that there are many who love this town and would like to see the best for the town... don't you think it is time to pull the moles out of their holes and begin the process of making Oroville a city that we are proud of? I think that we should start taking a second look at those who are being influenced by the moles and possibly replacing then with those who want the best for the town. I think that the word "Recall" might come to mind.

Of course jobs and places to shop would make Oroville a better place to live, but this is about the engineer who was let go after he helped make this town a more beautiful place. Who cares where he lives. What matters is what kind of a job he did, and in my opinion, he did an excellent job at what he was hired for. I wish Oroville had more people that cared about things like beautifying the city. All of that will attract people who have small businesses to move here and hire local people.

This here hits it on the head. Eric T would not live in this town. It was his "sandbox". It was just a stepping stone for him to build his resume before moving on to something "bigger and better". His projects were not done with the "big picture" and quality of life in mind. They were done with "how will this look on my resume" in mind. If you are too good to live here, how do you expect to determine what is good for the city?

The only three stooges are Corkin, Pittman and Johannsen, they are all an automatic vote for whatever Sharon wants. Are there any brains and independant thinking here, Pittman is the worse, closely followed by Corkin.
Prosperity: do you approve of Eric spending city time, car , gas and cell phone costs on his church. Why did he locate his church in Chico? Did this almost daily occurance help the prosperity. What about donations of contractors doing business with the city that donated to his church, can you spell CONFLICT?
Is Eric's accomplishments of a roundabout and a little used park going to bring prosperity. The park looks good but it costs money to maintain and does not makes money. Do you have any clue how many people refused to start businesses or fix property in Oroville because of his attitude toward people.

Yes he was smart, yes he had some good skills, and yes he did some good, but when you balance the scales the bad outweighed the good.
