In fact, they probably have never even heard of the Steelers. The only thing they know is Old Miss, Crimson Tide and the names of a few other kids football teams. It's sad for us Yankees to see such enthusiasm for 3rd rate sports but the South has not yet risen to the professional arena. Thank God for cable TV or we would not be able to watch professionals play the game of football.

You should really stop commenting on things you nothing about and if you can't stand the locals maybe you should move.

You ought to go back North and see how Professionals play football and then you wouldn't have to waste your Saturdays watching kids play the game rather than getting your lazy-a&* out in the yard to do some work. Let's face it, the only reason southerners watch college football is because it gives them an excuse to do nothing on a Saturday afternoon.

Good job Northern Ball Players, or playing with ! I'm on your side on this issue. College football is the same North and South--just a way to extract money from alumni and dumb rednecks who have nothing to cling to except their guns, their Bible and their favorite college football team so that these colleges and universities can get more money than the professional teams pay for their coaches. Of course, none of this money goes to better education at these universities--just for higher pay to the professors with tenure. What makes me laugh is the matter of student loans. The universities are in a feeding frenzy to raise the cost of tuition for students because they know that they can take advantage of student loans to make them possible. They don't give one s*&^t about how long it will take a student to pay that loan off--they only care about the student being able to get the loan so he/she can pay the annual tuition. Universities are big business just like Wall Street.

The University of Alabama is just an excuse to have a college football team. It is also "too big to fail" just like Penn State's football team and other big football team universities. I'm waiting for the other foot to drop on other big college football teams. I heard that there is already a bust of coach Sabin on campus so that should tell you about who runs the University. Some people think that the $60,000,000.00 fine on Penn State is too much. It doesn't even amount to what the football program brings in in just one year.
