SEPTA: Bus Involved With Pedestrian Struck Crash

I hate those agressive bus drivers. they expect you to get out of the bus in 1 second or else they'll shut the door quickly and drive away.

Another court case for SEPTA. I bet they'll raise fair prices to make up for their financial loss after they're sued.

A typical Septa bus seats around 50 passengers, give or take. Unless of course it crashes. Then it seats 800...

I knew the victim, he was a good guy. It's a real shame this happened, btu I don't blame him or the driver, it was just a terrible accident.

I was right there, across the street from this accident when it happened.
This article looks like MISINFORMATION in many ways.
The time was somewhat before 8:00, the light was clear and bright.
The man was NOT walking on the street - he was STANDING on the SIDEWALK!
This is pure negligence on the part of the SEPTA driver.
Notice the selectivity of who was asked to give a "statement" about this.
It took forever for any SEPTA officials, or even medical workers.

Well, for one, Philadephia is the WORST when it comes to pedestrians paying attention. How many times have you guys seen people waiting at the bus stop, but standing in the road glaring down the road, I guess thinking that by standing in the road it will make the bus come quicker. Either way, this was an accident and you can't tell me that a bus driver just had no regard for human life. I'm sure a lot of the reason the guy got hit was because he wasn't paying attention while on the cell phone. But it was an accident. I'm sure the bus driver isn't sitting at home with a smile on their face. They for sure will be traumatized by this!!

Darwin wins again. I hate to sound cold but how dumb do you gotta be to get hit (and killed) by a bus? Don't you know you're supposed to look both ways (actually you're supposed to look right, left, right so that's 3 ways) before you cross the street?

maybe he shouldn't have been carelessly walking the streets gabbin' on his cell phone then, he should have thought of his child, huh? How about the person who was killed, he was dumb enough to get struck and killed by a 'street whale,' aka a public transportation bus. You gotta be really, really stupid to pull that one off, and i have absolutely no sympathy for him (he's dead, he dont care) or his family.
