Hello there in all areas of san antonio north south east and west duhhhh!they should close them all young girls in bathing suits on display like hookers not good.

Obviously the city is messing with him to get him to shut down/move. I am sure the complaints on this business must be through the roof. But, why can't the owner just grow up a little, be respectful of families and neighborhoods, and open his business somewhere that isn't beside schools and churches? I guess if you have young bikini clad women making money for you, you don't have enough personal standards to consider the community's best interests.

You see girls in bikinis at swimming pools and at the beach, atleast here there not flashing guys for beads...Everyone needs to get over it and just let the girls wash cars...If you don't want to see it don't go there

Stephanie is correct. All summer long girls are in halters and scant clothing all over the area.

The car wash girls are legally making money, not using their clothing choices for illicit money.

Busybodies need to stop worrying so much about the small stuff. There's far larger issues today than pretty girls washing cars.

i think these girls need to get a real job how can a girl bring her self that low that she thinks by showing her ass is the only way she could get money insted of using her brain and i am not hateing i am veary happy with the way i look

well said dave- but would you wish to live next to a Bikini car wash, a crack house, or in a gang dominated neighborhood?- afterall you would not wish to "trample on other peoples rights"- especially- freedom of association, freedom of expression, freedom of Choice, and the right to the pursuit of happiness....

well, crack houses and gangs are not legal, so i could do something about that. the bikini car wash I wouldn’t mind, but if I did, I would be out of luck. It is there legal right to open.

If the people around the car wash don’t want it there, then confront the zoning allowing it. Don’t come up with bs reason to shut them down. If they fail, tough. What if there was a Christian book store wanting to open next to my strip club, or bar, or some other “sin business” what right would I have to protect my business from the bible beating bittys?

You know they would be trying to shut me down, and drive away my business. But that’s ok because…um…hum.. why? Who decides what is proper and what isn’t?

This reminds me of people buying home next to a rail road track, then constantly calls and complains to the rail road because there is train noise.

The bottom line is, when you start limiting or taking away the rights of a particular group or person, you can not expect YOUR rights to be safe. There is a balance the must be struck, sometimes you don’t get your way, but its worth it to maintain your own rights.

The smoking laws are a perfect example. Every non-smoker was for them and thinks they are great, what is happing now? Next on the agenda is fat people, and food. Now all of sudden all the people who were for the smoking bans are outraged because the government is trying to take away their right to eat a cheese burger! Or anything fried in the wrong kind of oil. Too late now folks, you have set a present. All they have to do is say its for the good of all, or for the children etc. hang on to your hats and leave this guy alone. If you don’t like it don’t go there.

I just had another thought. What would I do if I didn’t like this business? I think I would talk to the owner and ask him if I could get everyone who doesn’t like this carwash to pitch in some cash, can we put up an attractive fence that would shield view of the women actually washing the cars.

Then I would tell him how having the fence would help his business, driving guys to want to stop and see what’s going behind the fence. Let one or two girls hold signs in font if he must. That would at least help the situation, right?

I've seen those "girls" in their bikinis. They all have pot bellies and are very flabby. They really should put on some clothes as they have nothing to show.

They aren't doing anything illegal, and a bathing suit is an appropriate thing to wear for washing cars. Dave's fence point might be sensible, though.

I am glad they have closed this business down temporarily. The main reason is they are very close to a school. What kind of role model are these employees to school aged kids? Maybe some of you making comments on this post have no morals.

Well it’s the same roll model the kids see on the beach, TV, movies, and they themselves wear the exact clothing.

This "it’s too close to a school" thing is really getting silly. Any time they want to trample on someone’s rights, it’s always for the good of the children. Kids are savvier that you give them credit for.

Sex is a natural thing; there isn’t a guy out there my age who wasn’t searching with their friend for their dads playboy stash. Having the internet and internet porn for ten plus years, if all the bible bittys were right, we should have rapists on every corner by now.

What is so immoral about this car was? Why kind of roll model are you when you trample people’s rights just because you don’t like what they are doing? Being a tyrant is far worse than showing some skin.

Some people have trouble containing their own urges, and rather than taking responsibility for themselves they prefer to project the responsibility for those urges on to whatever excites their unseemly emotions. Kind of like the guys who get the most upset about male homosexuality are the same guys that, in tests, have a very high arousal at seeing depictions of male homosexuality. Some of these people are such hornos they can barely contain themselves when they see a girl in a bathing suit- so they decide there needs to be a law against girls in bathing suits.

A bikini car wash is not on par with hookers and crack houses. It's a freaking car wash, people. With bathing suits. Get the hell over it.
