Border Patrol plans to check IDs in hurricane evacuations

It's really sad the situation has come to this, however, lax American regulations have permitted this situation to arise. As a native of El Paso, and of 100% latino heritage, I realize this was going to happen sooner or later. A few "bad apples" have ruined the situation for many law abiding legal citizens for quite some time now. I'm willing to be questioned and harrassed for a short period while this whole immigration issue is resolved. If all,(or most), of the illegal aliens are eventually deported back to their respective country, regular Mexican-Americans will be able to consider themselves on the same level as all the other minority groups that have come to this counrty, adjusted themselves for the rules and customs of a new homeland and prospered to become contributing members of society. I believe if the immigration policy stays the same, and all minorities, namely Mexicans are all lumped together, it will surely bring us down as a whole group.
