Bloomfield to use consultants for superintendent search

it is better to hire from within, because the person will already know the community and the schools.

Not the case with Central schools in Shiprock.

Why doesn't Bloomfield school district do the search without the use of consutants? Give the school board members some homework. How much more money does Allison have to cost the district. Put ads in newspapers, use the web, and do your own background searches.

With the internet, there should be very little reason for a school district to use a 50,000 + consultant to find a supt. I dont buy this load of crap. Everybody in administration needs to pull for a new supt. MIght be one on the inside or someone found through our new modern channels. My gosh, you could interview ovwer the internet as well! Get with the new technolog ya lazy bums!

There is to much corruption around these areas, to limit ones selection for who would make the best candidate for our schools. Though otherwise, I would agree. But we do need to know who, why, and for what reasons, including back ground checks, these people are the ones chosen. After all, these are all our children they supose to be taking care of and to their teachings.
