Kevin Odette, 33, faces 16 felony counts so far

Kevin gave the police most of the information concerning the history of sex crimes they are following now, because he didn't know any better. Kevin is guilty as can be, but no one has brought out that he is mentally challenged. I'm sickened by what he did, because I've known him for the last sixteen years. He never acted more mature than a fourteen year old. I'm not making excuses for the guy, but he wasn't right to begin with. Anyone feel sympathy for Lenny Small? No, as a matter of fact, I wasnt in on it. BUt as far as you are conerned, you dont have anything to do with it, because he probably didnt touch your kids, and if you say he did, your probably lying.

I have an uncle who was already in prison for 3rd Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct. He says he's learned from his mistakes, and I'd like to think that he hasn't molested anymore children, but it's hard to say really. I'm not saying he has and I'm not saying he hasn't, but I'd like to think that people can change their lives for the better, no matter what they may do in life. I'm not making excuses for anyone, but there's always the 50-50 chance that people could actually wake up and realize that what they're doing is wrong; if they think it, don't act on it, but it's easier said than done for most people.

I know him well. Mentally challenged...a little, so what, it's a NON-ISSUE. He knows right from wrong. He hid his monstrous behavior because he knows right from wrong. Nobody brought up his being mentally challenged because it's a non-issue!

kevin is not mentally challenge he is not crazy he is a sick individual he should pay for what he did and should never get a chance to do it again. as for bobcatts you appearently didn't know him very well becasue i knew him also and he acted like an adult. anyone who has a wife and still has to do this to little children is sick and i am sick of all these people trying to stick up for him he knew what he was doing and didn't care abpout the chidren. anyone who sticks up for him is just as guilty as he is.

mike you are the worst for sticking up for him and let me guess you have a tatoo on your right hand. i know the other guy who has the tatoo's name is mike and he should pay also. i don't feel sorry for either of them because i am close to the family of the victums and kevin so all of this stuff people are saying in here to defend him is alot of bull. why defend him if you aren't involved in it. 75 vhs tapes 200 dvds that is not mentally challenged that is sick plain and simple.
anyone who buys the mentally challenged issue is full of it i have known him for the past 6 years and never seen anything from him to indicate he was mentally challenged.

He has not been as co-opaterive as you might have thought. Look at NBC News 25 online. It says it little bit different, that he is a conman. Everyone that knows him, he just had all you fooled! I didn't know him very well, but he was definitely NOT mentlly challenged.

mike i will agree with you that the murderers and rapist should be executed as well because they are wasting tax payers money as well. along with repeat offenders because they aren't gonna quit either. the point is if you put yourself in the place of all of them children what would you want to do to him. he was trusted by them and then took and hurt them. there is no forgiveness for that. i think it is low to even try to defend anyone who does that to a person you are supposed to be watching over and taking care of and you have your way with them. think of the embarrassment them kids have to be feeling and the fear they have to live with. it is worse on them then it is for a woman who was raped because they feel they can trust no one. and the mental damage he has done to them. what does a little kid have to offer you can't get from your wife.
i hung out with kevin and was sort of friends with him and he knew what i would have done to him if i found out about it. he has even flirted with me but i thaught he was just joking around but i guess he wasn't. think about the embarrassment and pain he has brought to his own family.

This guy is the most worthless piece of human trash to step foot on earth. Anybody who can harm children this way deserves everything that he gets and hopefully the U.S. court systems do what they need to with him. This guy should get life in prison ( I myself prefer the death penalty ). I feel that there should be no child sex offender list, the government fails in this aspect of justice when they put our children at risk by releasing these people back into public. It should be as easy as First offense = Life in prison, Simple as that. Sooner or later this country will come to realize that stiffer punishments for these offenses are needed. But there are some people out there that will dispute this and say it is cruel and that they need and deserve a second chance. My reply to that is wait until it happens to someone you love and care for then see how you feel about it. My guess is that your view will change from forgiving to hatred and rage towards that person and every action that they have done.

Mike are you old enough to really understand the damage he has caused to these children and the families involved. You sound as if you are a little kid. I understand he is your uncle and part of your family and you want to defend him. But let me clue you in on a little something "3" of these children are related to me so guess where my view comes from. I don't know the basis behind the others on this forum but from my side I think you need to take a big step back and look at the full picture of what he has done.Also if he is your uncle what about your other relatives he molested? If he is your uncle these would be your cousins and possible brothers or sisters. What about them or you just don't have any thoughts about that.

There is a huge difference between your uncle and I. Main one is I am not a child molester and I do not believe myself or anyone else here needs to be categorized with him.
